About the job

Tuse Skole søger en matematiklærer til udskolingen, og vi håber, det kunne være dig!

We are looking for you who obviously loves teaching mathematics, but who can also teach social studies, Christianity and history, and who wants to spend your daily life among our large and nice students in the upper years. If you can teach other subjects as well, there is also an opportunity, because we would very much like to hear what you are good at besides mathematics.

In addition to a good portion of subject-specific expertise, we also need you who as a person are proactive and stable. That means you can take initiative, but you also care about predictability and clear frameworks.

Your upcoming daily life

At Tuse Skole we focus on forming and educating students. Therefore we are seeking you who can help raise interest and motivation for, among other subjects, mathematics.

You will need to teach in 8th and 9th grade, so you should very much be able to have experience in leading to exams – or be eager to learn it. In addition, you will also become a contact teacher in the classes. This means that you will have the opportunity to teach your subjects and to help shape the classes' well-being and cohesion.

We are organized by grade level, and there is therefore a lot of collaboration across a grade level, both among teachers and students.

We believe that our students learn best when they are met with warm and clear adults, and this also applies to our colleagues. You will become part of a grade-level team with different competencies. Common is that they are structured and ambitious and therefore also have expectations of you. There are scheduled team meetings once a week for each grade level.

It should be fun to go to work, and we care that you also want to contribute to the adult community, because we believe that it positively influences the children.

Who are you?

You are a qualified teacher and can teach one or more of the following subjects: mathematics, history, Christianity and social studies.

We also hope that you are the type who

  • collaborates, because you know that it makes both teaching and everyday life more enjoyable and stronger
  • has a firm handle on classroom management, because it provides the best foundation for well-being and teaching
  • has humor and dares to use it, even when the printer misbehaves
  • has go-for-it – not as a cliché, but as a genuine desire to find solutions when something is difficult

Who are we?

Tuse Skole is a lively school with about 630 children and 45 staff. We are part of Tuse og Udby Skole with shared leadership, cross-disciplinary development, and a strong culture with good traditions. We focus on classroom management, and we believe that children learn best when they are met with curiosity, clarity and warmth – and this also applies to adults. A common feature for both departments is that we are closely connected with the local community.

In addition, we have a shared goal of creating a Children’s School, where the children's voices and perspectives are included as much as possible according to their age.
