Two altos are sought for Helligaandskirkens church choir

Helligaandskirken is seeking two altos, namely one standard singer and one Sunday singer.

The positions involve regular participation in high masses, in addition to Evensongs and concert projects.

For the standard singer the position also entails participation in the church's music vigils (musikandagter) and liturgical actions.

Remuneration

Mass: 908 DKK.

Music vigil (musikandagt): 389 DKK per vigil (about 10 per month in 8 months of the year).

Liturgical action: 389 DKK per action up to 45 minutes.

Evensong: 1,037 DKK per Evensong (about 8-9 annually).

3-4 Concert projects: typically 3,000-7,000 DKK per project, depending on rehearsal process and scope.

Allowances: 889 DKK per month in availability and qualification allowance.

Extra rehearsals and staff meetings: 130 DKK per half hour

The rates are indicated at 2026 level and are adjusted annually. Additionally, 12.5% is transferred to the holiday account.

Practical matters

• Masses on Sundays and holidays at 11:00 with choir rehearsal at 10:15
• Service leave eight Sundays a year plus the 2nd Easter Day, where Saint Anne’s Girls’ Choir participates
• Music vigils take place on weekdays at 12:00 and on Wednesdays at 15:00, when there is no Evensong at 17
• Opportunity for personal practice in the church's premises

We are seeking singers who

• have a well-developed singing technique at conservatory level, have solid experience with ensemble singing and good sight-reading skills, but also with solo qualifications
• are eager to actively contribute to the cantor's artistic development
