About the job

We are a field-based night team that emphasizes cross-disciplinary collaboration, an appreciative approach, high professionalism and independence. The team currently consists of 10 dedicated employees. At the start of each night shift, one nurse and two social and health care assistants meet together with two social and health care assistants.

From January 1, 2027, the emergency team will transfer to the Region of Southern Denmark. In this connection we will expand our night team so that going forward there are two nurses on duty in each night shift. You will become part of a professionally strong team where we help each other and focus on creating security and quality for the citizens. We also have a good and close collaboration with the emergency nurses at night.

You must have Danish authorisation and a driver’s license

Your tasks will include

• Palliative care
• Catheter change/flush in acute need
• Focus on training/ delegation of specialist professional tasks.
• Handle acute tasks for citizens connected to home care/Nursing care, as well as nursing homes and residential facilities.
• Self-referrals with specialist services
• Good at managing and creating an overview of planned, as well as acute tasks.

District Common Night operates from Hovergården Nursing Home, located at Urhøj in Vejle. We handle tasks across the entire Vejle Municipality, where routes are planned according to geography.

Shifts are arranged so you work 7 nights and 7 days off. Working hours are from 22:45 to 07:15.

Start date December 1, 2026.

The night shift team meets at the start of the shift to coordinate the tasks. As a night shift you drive yourself in one of the district's cars, but cooperate with colleagues throughout the shift. In the team we continuously communicate with each other. We emphasise helpfulness and an appreciative form of communication.
