Smedegaarden is specialists in green ship recycling and scrapping. Ships are dismantled and scrapped at an environmentally approved facility in Esbjerg harbor. Scrapping a ship requires great expertise, craftsmanship, as well as safety at work and environmental awareness at the highest level.

You will report to the managing director.

Primary tasks

Sale of used parts from scrapped ships

• Respond to inquiries, primarily via phone/email contact with customers from all over the world
• Clarification and advisory
• Preparation of offers and follow-up on these
• Create orders and invoicing
• Booking of freight and shipment

Your profile

• Familiarity with and experience in the maritime sector
• Basic knowledge of maritime equipment
• Experience with advisory and sales from a similar technical sales position
• Technical education and/or experience, e.g. as a marine engineer
• Good understanding of IT usage in general
• Good communication and presentation skills and proficiency in Danish and English in writing and speech; additional languages are an advantage

As a person you have a positive and professional approach to your work. You are reliable, solution-oriented and structured, as well as a good team player.

The company offers

Your salary will reflect your qualifications and experience. An active compensation package is offered, consisting of a fixed part and a bonus agreement. Employee benefits include pension, health insurance, smartphone and laptop.
