Two student assistants for Communication at TEC

Can you tell a good story with a camera in hand? Or are you the type who can both write the perfect invitation and get 300 guests safely through the door?

Then you might be the person we are looking for.

We are looking for two student assistants with each their academic focus: film, photo and sound or events and communication.

At TEC we educate, among others, electricians, aircraft mechanics, welders, plumbers and pipefitters, and high school students. And there is plenty to tell. We want more young people to discover the possibilities of a technical education – and to get closer to the reality we communicate about.

This is where you come in. We are not looking for two students who can do everything. We are looking for two who are really good at something – and want to become even better.

Profile 1: You with the camera – content creator for film, photo and sound You don’t need to have 10 years of experience and a shelf full of prizes. But you should already be well on your way to mastering your craft.

As a content creator you will help tell stories from TEC in film, pictures and sound. You can film, take good pictures and edit your material into a finished product. One day you might be in a car workshop filming students working on an engine. The next day you’ll take portraits of a teacher, cut a video for Instagram or TikTok, or edit sound for a podcast.

You will, among other things,

• film, photograph and edit films, pictures and sound
• produce content for social media, website and internal communication channels
• develop ideas and formats together with our SoMe team and the rest of the Communications Department
• contribute to podcast and other audio productions.

We expect you to have practical experience with film and photography and to be able to work in relevant editing programs. On the other hand, you don’t need to know everything. With us you will have the opportunity to try yourself, receive feedback and develop professionally.

We would like to see what you can do. Therefore you should link to examples of films, pictures, sound or other content you have produced.

Profile 2: You with the overview – events and communication Are you the type who notices whether the sign is in the right place, whether the guests know where to go – and whether the email before the event actually gave them the information they needed?

Then you might be the one we’re missing.

You will help create good experiences with TEC – especially when prospective students and their parents meet us at, for example, open houses and information days. You will also work with inaugurations, networking days, award ceremonies and internal events.

For us, events are about the whole experience. From the invitation and the pre-event communication to signage, materials and the practical execution on the day.

You will among other things

• plan, coordinate and execute events
• work with the physical touchpoints in prospective students’ path to a choice of education
• coordinate signage, materials and communication around events
• write and tailor content for e.g. websites, email marketing, social media and internal communication channels.

We envision that you are organized, good at keeping an overview and unafraid to take action. And you should be able to write clearly and purposefully for different audiences and channels.

Who are you – and who are we? You are currently pursuing a relevant higher education. Maybe you study communication, journalism, marketing, events, film, media or something entirely different. Your exact degree title is not the most important. It is your competencies, your curiosity and your desire to use what you learn in practice.

You should be able to work independently and take responsibility, but also want to collaborate and reach out to people you don’t know.

You will become part of the Communications Department at TEC, where we work with social media, press, web, internal communications, marketing, events, graphic design, film, photography and podcasts. We have different areas of expertise, develop ideas together, give feedback and help each other when things are moving fast.

TEC has several addresses in the Capital Region, and you should be willing to get away from the desk and out to our schools, in workshops and among students and teachers.

Salary and terms Both positions are 15 hours per week, typically distributed over two days per week. Working hours may vary.

Your primary workplace will be TEC in Frederiksberg, but you should expect to travel to our various addresses in the Capital Region. We take your study schedule and exam periods into account – and at the same time expect flexibility regarding hours and tasks. Evening work may occur, especially in connection with events and productions.

Salary and terms follow the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and HK/Stat.

Start date: December 1, 2026.
