Procurement lawyer for the Health and Care Administration

Our skilled procurement lawyer is moving to another department and we are therefore seeking a new colleague who can both ensure the procurement quality, advise colleagues in the department as well as across the administration and participate in projects in collaboration with subject matter experts, suppliers and other administrations. We are a small department that values a friendly and constructive atmosphere where we help each other to create good solutions for the benefit of Copenhageners.

The Procurement Department in the Health and Care Administration's Centre for Finance and Buildings seeks a procurement lawyer to work with tenders and contracts. We are eight academic staff with different professional profiles and many years of practical experience with tenders and procurement. You will become the sole lawyer in the department, but at the same time also part of the municipality's procurement legal network across administrations.

The City of Copenhagen uses category management, so we collaborate and coordinate across the administrations' procurement functions. Therefore we are looking for a person who can both relate to data and procurement rules and at the same time be a good and responsive partner for professional centers, operating units and colleagues in the procurement organization across administrations.

About us

The Health and Care Administration largely deals with tenders in the eldercare area under the Elderly, Social and Health legislation and with activities within health promotion and prevention.

The Procurement Department is responsible, among other things, for contracts with private providers of home care services (the free choice area) and for the procurement category 'Goods for the Health Sector'. In addition, the department participates in a wide range of tenders for goods and services for the Health and Care Administration's professional centers and across the municipality. Some tasks are solved individually. Others are done by more people. In any case, we are good at using each other for help and sparring.

About you

You have a long higher education degree in procurement law. Probably you already have experience with the purchasing area and preferably from the legal profession.

You have a holistic view and can plan and manage projects and supplier collaborations so you reach the goal, and participants are happy to join next time you call.

You are passionate about ensuring procurement agreements that are advantageous for climate, environment and economy and that support that safety and collaboration around citizens have the highest focus, so that citizens receive the service that has been decided, and employees have the framework to do a good job.

You have good communication skills and can formulate shared solutions and draft a requirements specification or a memo.

You are both a good team player and can work independently.

Employment terms

The position is a permanent full-time appointment with start on December 1, 2026. Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local wage bargaining. In connection with the employment we will obtain a criminal record certificate and take references.
