Qualified Educator or Social Assistant in the Nursery ”Viivi” Narsaq.

A prospective educator or social assistant can start 1 December 2026 or after agreement.

The nursery/daycare center “Viivi” has a facility with 48 places for children aged 0-3. In total there are 16 employees of whom one is the manager. And these are distributed over 4 sections:

There are 2 day-care institutions in Narsaq. And there is a well-cooperating leadership team. And they value helping each other when needed.

Narsaq is a peaceful, educational and beautiful town. Throughout the year various activities are held.

We expect the pedagogue to have the following tasks in their section

·Stable

·Can maintain an overview as a whole

·Someone who can see the needs of children

·Has good collaboration skills with the users

·Honest

·Someone who can adapt well

·Proactive

·Has computer skills but not a prerequisite.

Child certificate

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate. Under the law, employment may only begin once the municipality has obtained a child certificate.

The child certificate will be part of the municipality's assessment of who should be employed in the position

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the collective agreement between the Greenlandic Government and NPK for pedagogical staff employed in day-care institutions in Greenland.

Housing can be provided, with rent and deposit paid according to applicable rules, just as travel and moving costs are covered by the municipality in accordance with the rules in force at any given time.
