About the job

Are you driven to work in education, and do you have a passion for creating inspiring learning environments for pupils and students? Do you see value in guiding and supporting mentors who every day elevate the educational task in the many workplaces of the Health and Care Administration (Sundheds- og Omsorgsforvaltningen)? Do you have organizational understanding and knowledge about the SOSU (social and health care) educations? Then it might be you we are looking for in the Learning Environment and Guidance Department at Uddannelse København.

We offer

In the Learning Environment and Guidance department, you will be part of a strong professional environment. You will have engaged and experienced colleagues and the opportunity to participate in cross-cutting collaboration to create good learning environments. You can expect to become part of an educational professional community which, alongside operations, prioritizes development and ongoing sparring.

At the bottom of the posting you can read more about what we offer you as an employee in Uddannelse København.

You as part of Learning Environment and Guidance

In the Learning Environment and Guidance department, we work professionally with the education of pupils and students, and in our daily work we collaborate with managers/heads of schools, person responsible for education, and mentors at Copenhagen Municipality's internship sites. We support the internship sites in their work with developing and ensuring the quality of internship programs and help ensure that education and practical learning are seen as a core task.

As an Educational Consultant in Learning Environment and Guidance you can expect a varied daily routine. You will typically spend a couple of days a week in the office, where you, together with colleagues, design and coordinate meetings, structure annual cycles, spar with education managers, and be part of development tasks. Here you will experience that ad hoc questions from education managers sometimes require a re-prioritization of your daily program and tasks.

Other days you will be out on tasks or meetings, for example facilitating different meeting formats, collaborating with internship sites, educational institutions, etc.

In the department, and in Uddannelse København in general, workflows are also influenced by political and organizational priorities that mean we continuously relate to how we solve our core task. In the department, we are for example focused on creating an even greater focus on learning environments across target groups while, as educational consultants, we have particularly strong knowledge about a specific target group. You are invited into the process, and we are curious about your knowledge of practice-based learning and health education as well as your understanding of the organization.

Your role

Your main function will be, together with experienced colleagues, to further develop learning environments for SOSU students and partly also for nursing students, where you help ensure coherence between the learning environments of learners in education. As an educational consultant you will among other things handle the following tasks:

  • advise, guide and support education managers in their local work to plan, implement, evaluate and follow up on internship programs primarily for pupils from SOSU educations
  • initiate and facilitate networks for mentors and education managers
  • plan and coordinate meeting formats, annual plans and operational tasks together with colleagues in the department and the rest of Uddannelse København
  • act as a link between educational institutions and internship sites by, among other things, communicating requirements and frameworks and helping to translate them into local initiatives and learning tools
  • further develop and implement new offers for mentors in accordance with existing resources and organizational frameworks
  • use educational administrative systems to support operations and quality assurance of the education task

About you

To succeed in the position, it is important that your basic professional basis as an educational consultant is in place. You can collaborate with many different stakeholders and thrive in a workday where tasks are varied and change over time. You will become part of a professional community where we spar with and help each other.

To be considered we expect that you

  • have a master's degree in pedagogy and didactics and have a background as a nurse
  • have several years of relevant professional experience, where you have worked with the education of pupils and students in internship programs – it is an advantage if, in addition to SOSU education experience, you also have knowledge of nursing education

In addition we expect that you

  • are able to support local internship sites in implementing new initiatives within practice-based learning, where you contribute to building support for what needs to be implemented
  • have strong relational competencies, as shown by your ability to collaborate with many different people and move easily in and out of many different workplaces
  • can work systematically, structured and proactive, so you have an overview of long-term planning and can quickly adapt when needed
  • have strong communication skills in writing and speaking, where you can handle and facilitate different meeting types, presentations and teaching activities
  • have knowledge of or experience with operating in a politically governed organization and have a high degree of organizational understanding – further, it is an advantage if you have experience from the municipal sector
  • have good IT skills and can quickly get up to speed with, use and communicate educational administrative systems as well as work in Excel, Teams, etc.
