About the job

Do you want to make a difference for children and young people with special needs?

We are looking for an engaged pedagogue for the G-classes at Lynghedeskolen in Grindsted

Do you have special educational experience, strong relationship skills and a desire to contribute to development, well-being and participation opportunities for students with ASD and ADHD?

Then it might be you we are looking for.

As of December 1, 2026 we are seeking a pedagogue for 37 hours for our G-classes at Lynghedeskolen in Grindsted. The position is split between school and after-school program (SFO).

Who are we?

The G-classes are Billund Municipality's specially arranged special education provision, primarily for students with autism spectrum disorders and ADHD.

The G-classes are part of the ordinary primary school, and our work is based on the purpose clause of the Danish School Act as well as applicable regulations and guidelines – always with attention to the individual pupil's needs, resources and development opportunities.

With us you meet students who are different – and who therefore also need different paths to learning, well-being and community.

For us the relationship is the starting point

We work purposefully to create a school day where students experience safety, predictability and the opportunity to succeed.

You will become part of a multidisciplinary team with teachers, pedagogy staff and teaching assistants, where we together create the framework around the students' school life.

With us we work among other things with

  • a recognizing and resource-oriented approach to the students
  • safe, manageable and predictable frameworks
  • teaching and pedagogical activities based on the student’s competences, resources and potential
  • individual action plans and systematic follow-up on students' development
  • ADL training and development of the students' independence
  • social communities characterized by equality, participation and respect
  • involving the local environment as a natural part of the students' learning and development
  • pedagogical efforts including school refusal and participation difficulties.

Who are you?

We are looking for a pedagogue who can recognize themselves in several of these descriptions:

  • You have solid special educational experience – preferably with students within the ASD area.
  • You have experience with planning pedagogical initiatives with an ADL-oriented approach.
  • You have experience with or an interest in working with school refusal and students who have difficulty being in school.
  • You are flexible, curious and open to colleagues, contributing actively to professional development.
  • You can work systematically with observation, documentation and follow-up on students' development.
  • You are clear and well-formulated – both verbally and in writing.
  • You can see the value in a strong multidisciplinary collaboration and thrive working closely with both teachers and pedagogy staff.
  • You meet the students with calm, respect and positive expectations – even when things get difficult.
  • You want to help develop our offer and simultaneously contribute with your own professional competences.

Lynghedeskolen is a large and vibrant school with a primary school, special department and SFO.

We have an engaged and interested parent body and a staff that is collaborative, professionally curious and development-oriented.

We believe that the best solutions are created together. Therefore we emphasize a work environment where there is room for professional sparring, different perspectives and a good laugh in daily life.

As a pedagogue with us you get the opportunity to be close to the students, and at the same time be an important part of the professional work around their development.
