Unskilled laboratory assistant for evening shift

Eurofins Miljø A/S is one of Denmark's largest environmental laboratories. We work primarily with chemical and microbiological analyses of water, soil and air and manage the full process of an investigation - from the initial planning, sampling and execution of analyses to the evaluation of the results.

In the Eurofins companies in Denmark we have one metals department, where all metal analyses for environment, materials and feed/food are gathered. The department thus possesses a high level of expertise and functions as the national competence center for metal analyses. In the metal department we investigate metals/minerals/elements in, among other things, soil, building waste, sludge, foods, feed, dietary supplements, slurry, air filters (emission and indoor climate), wastewater and material samples. The department analyses around 400,000 samples per year.

Job Description

For the metal department we are seeking a responsible, unskilled laboratory assistant for a permanent position on our evening shift. Your primary tasks will be sample preparation, where tasks include for example:

• Registration and weighing of samples
• Addition of chemicals according to procedures
• Operation of sample pretreatment equipment

You will become part of a small evening team, where you together are responsible for ensuring that the ordered analyses are carried out on time and in accordance with our quality requirements. We receive 1,000-2,000 samples every day, so it is important that you thrive in a fast-paced daily life where efficiency and quality go hand in hand.

Therefore great emphasis is placed on teamwork and the ability to prioritize tasks so that we collectively reach our goals.

Qualifications

• You have an interest in the subject
• You have experience with routine tasks or production (not a requirement)
• You work systematically, structured and efficiently
• You have good collaboration skills and a positive mindset
• You can maintain overview during busy periods

There will be thorough training in the tasks, so it is not a requirement that you have experience with laboratory work. The tasks require both standing and walking work, so it is important that you are physically mobile.
