A non-clinical position as a substitute resident doctor is available in Cardiology HE Midt with a start date in the period from January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2027 or by agreement.

About Cardiology HE Midt

Cardiology includes a Heart Ward with 29 beds and about 3,500 admissions annually, as well as Heart Clinics in Viborg, Silkeborg and Skive with around 40,000 consultations (in-person and virtual) annually. In Viborg there is a cardiology laboratory with pacemaker implantation and heart CT, and in Silkeborg there is heart CT and MR scanning. The heart clinics are divided into several subspecialty clinics (heart failure, atrial fibrillation, rehabilitation, inherited heart diseases, dyslipidemia, children, pulmonary embolism, hypertension, AK-clinic and echocardiography).

The department participates in several semesters in student teaching in clinical internal medicine in collaboration with Aarhus University. A role you are expected to take part in with a focus on students’ competencies and development progression during their clinical stay.

Cardiology HE Midt received the Young Cardiology Education Prize in 2023.

You in Cardiology HE Midt

There will be service in Viborg (Heart Clinic and Heart Ward) as well as Silkeborg and Skive (Heart Clinic). As a rule, there will be service from Monday to Friday 08:00-15:24. There may be day shifts on weekends and holidays, for which you will receive compensatory time off at another time. You have no night shifts, and the position has an average of 37 hours per week.

It is expected that you take time to familiarize yourself with the National Treatment Guideline on cardio.dk – a good theoretical background that will provide a solid basis for learning a lot in the clinical work.

It is also expected that you are ready to devote focused energy to echocardiography, where you will go through the department’s systematic echo training program, with immediate supervision of younger doctors with acquired echo skills and a cardiology specialist.

Finally, it is expected that you help maintain the good atmosphere and the good working environment we have in our department, so that it is a good place to work for all professional groups.
