Unclassified resident physician position in Hepatology, Gastroenterology and Colorectal Diseases, Aarhus University Hospital

An unclassified resident physician position in Liver, Stomach and Intestine Diseases is available to fill as a 1-year position starting January 1, 2027.

Our department is known for being a good clinical teaching site with a high academic level. We strive for patient pathways to be based on the highest professional standards in solid interdisciplinary collaboration with the department's nursing staff, dietitians, laboratory technicians, secretaries and physiotherapists.

The atmosphere in the department is characterized by humor and an informal tone, where collegiality within the medical team is given high priority.

Job Description

As a resident, you will participate in shifts in a two-shift operation for receiving acutely ill medical patients in the ACUTE Department as well as in your own department. Experience with the department's patients would be an advantage. There is thus ample opportunity to acquire skills in both internal medicine and highly specialized gastroenterology and hepatology.

Our evidence-based clinical approach to disease is supported by a specialty research unit in rapid development. Currently we employ about 25 full-time researchers in a young dynamic research environment. If you are interested in research, there will be opportunities, to a greater or lesser extent, to be involved in the department's research.
