Unskilled laboratory assistant for night shift

Eurofins Miljø A/S is one of Denmark's largest environmental laboratories. We mainly work with chemical and microbiological analyses of water, soil and air and take care of the full course of an investigation - from the initial planning, sampling and execution of analyses to the evaluation of the results.

In the Eurofins companies in Denmark we have one metals department, where all metal analyses for the environment, materials and feed/feed products are gathered. The department therefore possesses a high level of expertise and functions as the national competence center for metal analyses. In the metals department we examine metals/minerals/substances, including in soil, building waste, sludge, foods, feed, dietary supplements, slurry, air filters (emissions and indoor climate), wastewater and material samples. The department analyzes about 400,000 samples per year.

Job description

We are now looking for responsible unskilled laboratory assistants for our night shift to joining the metals department. Your primary tasks will be sample preparation, where tasks include for example:

• Registration and weighing of samples
• Addition of chemicals in accordance with procedures
• Operation of sample pretreatment equipment

You will become part of a small night shift, where you together are responsible for ensuring that the ordered analyses are performed on time and in accordance with our quality requirements. We receive 1000-2000 samples every day, so it is important that you thrive in a fast-paced daily life where efficiency and quality go hand in hand.

For this reason, collaboration and the ability to prioritize tasks are highly valued so that we can reach our goals together.

Qualifications

• You have an interest in the subject
• You have experience with routine tasks or production (not a requirement)
• You work systematically, structured and efficiently
• You have good collaboration skills and a positive mindset
• You can keep an overview during busy periods

There will be thorough training in the tasks, so it is not a requirement that you have experience with laboratory work. The tasks require both standing and walking, so it is important that you are physically mobile.
