Vejen Municipality seeks a skilled worker for waterway maintenance

Roads, Parks & Recycling is seeking a skilled worker for the maintenance of our waterways. The working hours are 37 hours per week. This is a full-year employment with participation in winter preparedness. Start on December 1, 2026 or by agreement.

The Job

The primary tasks will be maintenance of waterways with manual vegetation cutting and pruning of trees and shrubs along the waterways in Vejen Municipality.

The job also includes other tasks in Vejen Municipality.

Qualifications and Competencies

The position is to be filled by a skilled worker who has an interest in the area and enjoys being outdoors in nature.

Work is carried out in teams, and the job involves a high degree of independence. It is an advantage if you:

• are flexible and have good collaboration skills.
• have a sense of quality and are responsible.
• have flair for using standard mower and brush cutter.
• enjoy working outdoors, close to nature.
• can work according to quality descriptions, maps, routes and tasks etc. on iPads.
• are easy to get along with and have a good mood.

A driver's license for a car is necessary, preferably BE license.

Who are we

Roads, Parks & Recycling is an operating unit under Technical & Environment. Here you get a versatile workplace with a good jargon, employing about 75 employees. The core tasks are operation and maintenance of the municipality's roads, green areas, and operation of the municipality's recycling centers.

We operate from Materialgården, Stenbro Allé 6, 6650 Brørup, where there is also a workshop, salt store and storage of signs.

Salary and employment terms are set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and according to the principles of the new pay.
