About the job

Skanderborg Municipality is growing, and there is strong demand for new local plans and the subsequent road approvals. Therefore we are seeking an authority employee who will help translate visions into reality and create the framework for the future's most beautiful municipality.

You will help realise the Council's vision “People meet people – in Denmark's most beautiful municipality.” The vision obliges us to think sustainably and strategically in all our tasks – in close dialogue with developers and residents. The main focus of your tasks will be on authority processing and approvals.

But with us you won't just be a caseworker. You will be an active part of the development of new residential areas, business areas and urban spaces. You will get close to the entire process from the first sketches to the finished realization and gain a unique insight into the interaction between planning, traffic, nature, environment and construction.

We therefore seek a colleague who is curious about physical planning, thrives in interdisciplinary collaboration and wishes to contribute to local plans being turned into reality faster and more smoothly.

Thereafter you will have the responsibility, together with your colleagues in the department, to reach the road technical approvals.

What the position contains

  • Sparring and input in connection with internal hearings regarding local plans, construction cases, environmental approvals, etc.
  • Authority processing, coordination and approval of internal and external road and path projects.
  • Managing guarantees in connection with road approvals.
  • Guidance to developers and residents within the road authority area.
  • Sparring with your colleagues about large and small road and path projects.

Your professional and personal profile

  • You are an engineer or have another relevant education with experience in the road sector – and preferably with authority tasks.
  • You have good knowledge of the Road Act, Private Road Act and road regulations in general.
  • You are motivated by cross-disciplinary collaboration – both within the professional area and across the organization with a holistic approach to task solving.
  • You have strong teamwork skills and feel at ease in communication with both residents, businesses and politicians, including a strong communicator both in writing and speech. You must be able to engage in constructive and professional dialogues with developers and residents.

As a person you are

  • development-oriented, efficient and solution-oriented and have a curious approach to planning
  • empathic and welcoming in your dialogue
  • independent, but good at seeking help and sparring with colleagues
  • efficient, solution-oriented and takes initiative.

About Skanderborg Municipality

Skanderborg Municipality is an attractive, beautiful and well-located municipality. We experience strong growth and interest in building, living and doing business in the municipality. We therefore expect to reach 70,000 inhabitants in the coming years, which means a steadily increasing need for planning for housing, institutions and businesses.

The climate agenda is politically high priority and it affects all tasks both directly and indirectly. For example in the form of large solar parks that must be planned for, requirements for organic and pesticide-free operation of the municipality's areas and much more.

Under the motto “People meet people in Denmark's most beautiful municipality” we meet each other at eye level with the goal of creating beautiful and well-functioning frames for the good life and balanced growth in the municipality's towns and villages.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are determined according to the applicable collective agreement, including the fixed provisions regarding local wage formation. You can find information about the salary level in Skanderborg Municipality via this link: KRL. Here you will also find information about base salary and pension. In addition to base salary the pay may include negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

In Skanderborg Municipality you see more prams, trees and lakes than elsewhere in the country. Here there is a view. Not only to Denmark's most beautiful nature, but also to active local communities, growth companies and a club-like association life. As a workplace Skanderborg Municipality is known for a flat structure and a high ceiling for noise. Welcome to natural surplus.
