Vera Italiana is an established Italian restaurant in Valby, which for many years has specialized in the preparation and serving of Italian dishes.

We place great emphasis on quality, fresh ingredients, excellent customer service and efficient daily operations.

As a result of an increased need for qualified labor, we are now seeking an experienced and responsible chef who can become a central part of our kitchen and contribute to the daily operation.

We are looking for an employee with solid practical experience in Italian cooking, who can work independently and take responsibility for both cooking, quality and the kitchen's daily tasks.

Your primary tasks

• Preparation of Italian specialties, including pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salads and other dishes from the restaurant's menu.
• Preparation and production of ingredients and dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and quality standards.
• Independent handling of the daily food production.
• Planning and coordination of tasks in the kitchen.
• Ensuring consistent quality, taste and presentation of the food.
• Control of ingredients, stock and proper storage of foods.
• Compliance with applicable regulations on food hygiene, self-monitoring and food safety.
• Cleaning, maintenance and organization of the kitchen work areas.
• Collaboration with the restaurant's other staff to ensure efficient operation.
• Customer service, reception of orders and operation of the cash register as needed.

Professional qualifications

We expect that you

• Have relevant and demonstrable professional experience as a chef or from equivalent professional kitchen work.
• Have solid experience with preparation of Italian dishes, especially pizza, pasta, sandwiches and salads.
• Have practical experience from a professional restaurant kitchen.
• Have knowledge of applicable principles of food hygiene and safe food handling.
• Can work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Have an understanding of the kitchen's daily workflows, quality assurance and handling of raw materials.
• Can communicate in Danish and have basic written Danish skills for relevant tasks.

Relevant professional training as a cook is an advantage. Documented professional experience and practical professional qualifications will also be taken into account.
