About the job

Are you motivated to deliver top-class service where both pace and mood are high? Are you a team player who also thrives on juggling many tasks and working with complex issues? Then you might be our new colleague in Team Waste and Recycling.

Job Description

As an operations consultant you will be part of our dedicated Waste and Recycling team. In the team, a large part of the tasks consist of daily dialogue and contact with residents, businesses, municipal institutions, waste collectors and other external actors by phone, email and in our administration system Renoweb. This includes, among other things, handling of missing waste pickups, ordering and repair of containers etc. and maintenance of our waste data system.

You will initially be introduced to and thoroughly trained in these tasks. Thereafter you will gradually be introduced to the other tasks in the team, which include to:

  • Pay invoices
  • Carry out field inspection tasks regarding access conditions to containers etc.
  • Spar with our waste plant team
  • Assist in tenders for e.g. waste collection, containers and stickers
  • Undertake staffing for newly established areas
  • Review local plans in relation to waste collection and layout

Several of the tasks require you to have the ability and willingness to navigate Roskilde Municipality's waste regulations, together with the administration rules, contracts entered into and occupational health and safety guidelines etc. in the waste area.

There are some operating shifts that fall on holidays, and you should be prepared to help carry these in the team.

Your profile

Your educational background is not decisive, but we expect that you have a relevant educational background, such as an HK certificate or practical experience with e.g. inspection tasks. It is an advantage if you have experience with RenoWeb or similar systems, or if you have experience within the waste sector. Experience with the Office suite and knowledge of the Public Administration Act is also an advantage.

You are good at getting to grips with new things, have a structured approach to your own tasks and the ability to have many balls in the air at the same time. You are a team player who understands the importance of good collaboration and is ready to lend a hand when required. You value delivering good service and are good at handling conflicts through clear and precise communication both orally and in writing.

We offer

You will become part of the Waste and Recycling team, which consists of 3 employees besides you. We can therefore offer you good onboarding opportunities, as well as close colleague support in daily life. In addition we offer:

  • High professional knowledge: We provide expertise in waste management, which means you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a learning-friendly everyday.
  • Engaged colleagues: You will become part of the Environment and Building Case department, which values cooperation and community, where everyone contributes to a positive work culture.
  • Flexible hours: We offer flexibility in work planning at the outer edges, so you can find a balance between work and leisure.
  • Competence development: We aim to be at the forefront in our field and place a high value on professionalism and competence development.
  • Well-being: We focus on well-being and have an informal approach.
  • Employee benefits: including free coffee and fruit, health scheme, fitness facilities and a good canteen arrangement.
