Very flexible job with long shifts and travel

I am a 47-year-old woman with muscular dystrophy, who is seeking a 30-50-year-old personal assistant for 10 overnight shifts per month. The shifts are grouped into 2 periods of 5 consecutive days. Additionally, there may be extra shifts due to holidays and illness.

Your working days are planned 2-3 months in advance, but you should be prepared to be called to work on short notice twice a year.

The tasks are very varied and include

• Lifting (This is a requirement with a minimum height of 170 cm)
• Personal care
• Household
• Companionship
• Car driving (Class B driving license is a requirement)
• Cooking
• Help with turning in bed at night, etc.

Helper's role

As a helper you will become my "arms and legs". You will help me with what I cannot do physically. I create the content of my life myself, so you should not be my friend or mentor. But since the job involves a lot of time in each other's company, good chemistry and communication are important—we will over time become kind of "professional friends".

Your profile

The job is tailored for you if you are an actor, musician, artist, enjoy sports, travel, or have ongoing periodic projects, as the compressed working hours provide very long free periods where you can pursue your hobby(s). It is important that you are very flexible regarding working hours. Therefore the job is unsuitable if you have children, pets, or other commitments that prevent you from being away from home, or are tied to another full-time job or studies with compulsory attendance.

In addition to flexibility, I value that you take challenges with a smile, have humor, go-getter, practical sense, are adaptable, and moreover master the art of being the fly on the wall.

You should be prepared that there are days with many tasks, but also days when you must be available and ready to help when needed. There is a lot of time where you are on standby and can read or work on your own projects on your computer. You should have developed situational awareness and an understanding of working in a private home. You must be present and engaged and able to work independently according to my instructions, so that you free up as much of my time as possible.
