If you are a trained pedagogue and can see yourself in the kindergarten part of a quite special institution, where we have children and youths aged 0-18 years, then we are the right place for you.

We are a self-owned institution with a nursery, kindergarten, after-school and youth club – so we have children and youths aged 0-18 years – and their families. We create the red thread through the child’s life by focusing on coherence with respect for the individual child’s and family’s feelings, norms and culture. The position is for our kindergarten, but you must be prepared to think of the house as a whole with coherence based on the children’s needs.

In daily life we emphasize relationships, well-being and a "calm nervous system" in a community where there is room for everyone and where everyone’s contribution is valued - this applies to children and families, but also collegially.

Our primary goal is to create positive traces in the child’s/family’s life - and this applies throughout the child’s life in KFUM’s Institutions.

It is very essential for us that you in your child, human and formation worldview work from the sentence: “Relation before demands”. The house’s educators and pedagogical assistants have been trained in NPRP/NPU by Tea Thyrre Sørensen. It is not a requirement that you have the education, but the mindset and the values behind we expect you to have.

• are mentally robust, adaptable, flexible, action-oriented - and have humor and dare to tread on thin ice.

• are present, engaged and motivating in your interaction with the children – and can play on the floor with them.
• can establish and support diverse play- and learning-environments in relation to the children's group needs and interests based on the shared pedagogical foundation.
• are committed, relationally strong and competent. This applies to both the relational work between you and the children, the children in the group and in collaboration with the parents.
• can engage in a binding social collaboration with colleagues and management - where well-being and responsibility rest with the individual together with the community.
• are a trained pedagogue.

KFUM’s Institutions are a self-owned institution, which gives us a somewhat broader flexibility - and which makes us a bit special…in a cool way.

We are normed for 40 children in the kindergarten and the nursery is normed for 14 children. We see child and family as coherent and we work with the whole as a prerequisite to create the right development. In the after-school there are 30 enrolled children, all of whom go to Nørrevangsskolen, which is nearby. We have a close collaboration with the other after-schools and day-care institutions in Nordbyen and with Nørrevangsskolen - so living and being in Nordbyen is also experienced as a coherence.

The staff in the nursery, kindergarten and after-school work closely together and experience themselves as a whole with the same goal for the children and the solution to the core task. The youth club is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and is an offering to the area’s youths between 10 and 18 years. The staff here are hourly paid and have the job in the youth club as their secondary job.

Nevertheless, all staff are seen as a single part of KFUM’s Institutions even though they have employment in different places in the house.

We are located on Glarbjergvej in Nordbyen, Randers. Although we are located in a residential area with apartment buildings, we have large and good green areas with many square meters of playground, sports fields, hiding places - and we also have a swimming pool. We also have a minibus so the children in smaller groups can go on excursions. Nordbyen is characterized by diversity at all levels. We see this as a gift and set requirements for us as professionals - and for our approach to things as people.

As a pedagogue in KFUM’s Institutions you will come to work in an informal environment where professionalism and humor go hand in hand. All employees work according to year-round norms so that the schedule is typically known for a year at a time and meetings, events, etc. are planned for a year at a time. Time is allocated for individual non-scheduled preparation for all staff. This ensures a practice where the scheduled time with the children is actually TIME WITH THE CHILDREN, but there is also time for the other tasks.
