We are looking for a chef who likes working with a view of the sea

Not a metaphor. Our kitchen is located on a historic fortress directly facing Øresund. If you're tired of basements in the city, this might be the opposite.

The place

Charlottenlund Fort was built in 1886 as a coastal defense north of Copenhagen. Today it is a restaurant with 180° views over Øresund, seating 160 guests indoors and 200+ on the terrace. We do à la carte for daily guests and events up to high gastronomy — weddings, corporate parties, private events. The food is French-Nordic and seasonal.

It is a destination. People actively come here. It gives a different atmosphere than an urban restaurant — and a different pride in the workplace.

What you do

You are part of a kitchen that produces along two tracks: daily service and events. It requires a chef who can keep an overview, work independently and take responsibility for quality — not only for their own station. You work with fresh ingredients, changing menus, and you truly have the opportunity to influence the kitchen if you have ideas and the willingness to implement them.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a trained chef with experience from a serious kitchen
• Takes professional pride seriously — even when it’s busy
• Can communicate clearly and work respectfully with colleagues
• Thrives with variation: events, à la carte, seasonal menus
• Does not need to be handheld
