We are expanding and are now seeking a Specialist Psychologist for the Outpatient Acute Team, Psychiatry in Slagelse

We are seeking a new colleague for our psychiatric acute team (AAT) in Psychiatry West. The team is an outpatient team and consists of 6 experienced nurses, a social worker and a doctor.

The team is attached to the Psychiatric Acute Reception (PAM) in Slagelse.

We work to ensure rapid psychiatric intervention, stabilization of acute mental states and the prevention of hospital admissions. This is achieved through rapid identification and close cooperation with the patient and partners in the acute phase.

Work area

• Documentation and treatment planning
• Psychopathological diagnostic assessment
• Psychological testing (primarily cognitive and social-cognitive)
• Therapeutic conversations and conversations with relatives
• Psychoeducational conversations
• Participation in cross-sector collaboration
• Provision of interdisciplinary supervision
• Have an outreach function in the cases where intensive treatment at home is required.
• Participate in relevant conferences both internally and externally concerning the patient’s further treatment.
• Participate in conversations in Psychiatric Acute Reception, where deemed relevant.
• Clinical liaison duties (a smaller part of the position)

We are seeking the following competencies

• Broad psychiatric experience. Prefer experience from other outpatient psychiatry or acute psychiatry
• Knowledge of both regional and municipal services.
• Good collaboration skills and experience with both cross-disciplinary, cross-sector and professional collaboration.
• A high degree of flexibility and initiative
• Good communicative and pedagogical abilities.
• Ability and desire to work systematically and structured, in a sometimes unstructured and unpredictable daily life
• Team player and a willingness to help colleagues succeed in a small team.

You will become part of Psychiatry West under Midt- and Vestsjællands Hospital

An organization in development with about 520 employees. In Vest, there are main functions for adults over 17 years within acute reception, day-, and outpatient functions. Psychiatry West also has special functions within the treatment of affective states, traumatized refugees, PTSD and oligophrenia. We have a Fusion Clinic/Steno diabetes-psychiatry unit and work especially closely with Holbæk and Slagelse hospitals.

Psychiatry West has its own research unit with a professor in clinical pharmacology and several PhD students. In addition, we participate in a number of projects aimed at ensuring closer cooperation with our municipalities and police. We work purposefully to reduce the use of coercion and here cooperation with somatics is also important. Our wish is for psychiatry with a focus on recovery, involvement of patients and networks, high professionalism, ethics and education.

In addition, there is the goal of creating the best possible learning environments for our various training programs for doctors, nurses, social- and health care assistants, etc., and to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for patients and staff.

The position is full-time and the appointment is conditional on a valid B driver's license.

Starting salary for union-employed

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base wage, centrally fixed allowances and pension under the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
