About the job

Would you like to use your psychiatric professional experience to make everyday life more manageable and the opportunities larger for people with mental health vulnerabilities? Then you could become our new colleague in Prevention and Substances.

With us you get independent citizen paths, close professional support, and the opportunity to combine housing support with employment-oriented mentoring work.

You follow the citizen from goal to action. It could be support to create structure in daily life, attend appointments, manage social situations, or take the next steps regarding their plan.

In the job you will among other things

  • support the citizen in creating structure and mastering concrete everyday challenges
  • translate the citizen's goals into small, realistic steps
  • support attendance and participation in, for example, social or employment-oriented offers
  • collaborate with caseworkers, treatment psychiatry, and other relevant actors
  • follow up on the citizen's development and document the effort professionally and accurately.

You will have independent citizen paths and meet the citizens where the intervention makes the most sense. The workday can therefore consist of individual conversations, skills training, coordination with partners, and professional documentation.

We imagine that you

  • have a relevant social or health-related education
  • have experience with psychiatry and preferably also substance use issues
  • meet the citizen respectfully and can create a professional and trusting relationship
  • work independently, structured and rehabilitative
  • can maintain calm and professional overview when a workday changes
  • contribute actively to collaboration, professional reflection, and joint solutions.
  • are prepared to take on tasks across the department – e.g. participation in A Gateway, medication delivery, or entering into group-based support in the future.

It is an advantage if you

  • have experience with employment-oriented mentoring support or interventions in general.
  • have knowledge of psychiatry and substance use issues.
  • have experience with support under the Social Services Act.

What you get with us

  • a high degree of independence in planning your citizen paths
  • regular professional sparring and supervision
  • colleagues with different professional backgrounds who actively use each other
  • an informal tone, room for humor and a focus on joint solutions
  • opportunity for professional development and to contribute to the development of our mentoring and support initiatives
  • access to Skive Municipality's Health Scheme.

You will become part of Prevention and Substances in the Center for Psychiatry and Substances. We work with, among other things, substance abuse treatment, mentoring support, individual support programs, and preventative group offers.

We are a multidisciplinary workplace where we collaborate to find solutions that make sense in the citizen's everyday life.

Your everyday life with us

You plan your workday to a large extent yourself. Some conversations take place with us, others in the citizen's home or in connection with an employment offer. You have your own citizen paths, but you are not alone: We actively use each other for professional sparring and coordination.
