About the job

Do you have strong analytical skills and an eye for patterns, risks or development opportunities? And can you translate data and knowledge into clear assessments and concrete recommendations? Then you may be our new colleague in the Office for Business Analysis and Development (KFU) in the Danish Immigration Service.

Your new workplace

In KFU we work, among other things, with analyses and initiatives within business development, control and security. The tasks range from identifying and optimizing case workflows to developing and implementing control and security measures. We are a staff office that collaborates with many different actors, colleagues within the agency and across the organisation with a view to supporting changes and improvements.

You will become part of our Analysis and Development team, which supports the agency’s other offices with analyses and concrete solutions. A central part of the team’s work consists in carrying out analyses that among other things shall identify opportunities for improvement and optimization of workflows and processes or uncover risks of abuse and non-compliance with applicable rules and provisions.

On the basis of the analyses, concrete initiatives are worked on, which depending on the nature of the task can contribute to preventing risks, streamlining workflows or strengthening the quality of case handling.

Your tasks

Your tasks will be tailored to your profile and may include, among other things, that you

  • carry out cross-cutting projects in collaboration with the agency’s professional offices, for example as project leader for concrete initiatives
  • analyze large amounts of data or carry out data collection across the agency’s case processing and other task areas
  • collect and process knowledge from internal, external and international sources as the basis for analyses, assessments and recommendations
  • contribute to developing and formulating standards, for example for control efforts or internal case workflows
  • develop analyses that support case handling, strategic decisions or control and security initiatives
  • participate in relevant fora, networks and collaborations – occasionally also internationally
  • contribute to and in some cases drive the implementation of concrete measures based on analyses and recommendations.

About you

You have a relevant background and preferably experience from an agency or another public authority where you have worked with analysis, security, control or business development. It is not essential that you have experience in all our areas, but we expect that through previous tasks you have knowledge of one or more of the areas, and are keen to bring your competences into play across the organisation.

You have a curious and investigative approach to the tasks, and thrive on creating structure and coherence in complex problem situations.

We also imagine that you

  • are analytically strong and can create an overview of large data sets and complex issues
  • work solution-oriented and take initiative
  • can translate knowledge and analyses into concrete recommendations and initiatives
  • can prepare clear decision briefs, analyses and recommendations for both management and professional environments
  • collaborate constructively across the agency’s professional areas and organizational levels
  • can work independently and at the same time involve relevant colleagues and professional competencies

What you get with us

The Analysis and Development team consists of 9 employees with different competencies and professional backgrounds.

You will have the opportunity for close sparring with both the team leader and your colleagues. We also place emphasis on giving you the opportunity to develop your professional competences through both the tasks and relevant competence development.

When you start with us, we ensure you get thorough onboarding both in your area and knowledge about the work in the agency in general.
