About the job

Do you thrive with independent tasks and responsibility? And can you meet citizens and businesses facing a difficult financial situation with both empathy and professionalism? Then maybe you are the one we are seeking.

We are seeking new colleagues who want to train as a field-enforcement bailiff and help solve an important societal task. With us you will have a versatile job with responsibility and professional development. Your work helps ensure correct collection and supports fair competition among Danish companies.

Your first tasks

You primarily start with 'screening', where you prepare cases for the field-enforcement bailiffs and have telephone contact with citizens and business owners. Among other things, you must ensure that the collection occurs on a correct legal basis and analyse companies' accounting information with a view to relevant debt collection steps.

From screening to field-enforcement bailiff

In time you will have the opportunity to solve more of the unit's tasks and develop towards the role of field-enforcement bailiff. Your training to become a bailiff takes place through a combination of practice and relevant education. You complete relevant courses in the Diploma in Tax, while building your professional foundation through screening tasks and accompanying an experienced bailiff.

When you are fully trained, you will as a rule drive out to citizens and businesses yourself. The unit is located in Roskilde, but carries out bailiff proceedings across Zealand and the surrounding islands. On field-enforcement days you can also start and end the workday from our locations in Fredensborg, Copenhagen and Næstved, where you prepare cases and collect a company car.

Professional commitment and eagerness to learn new things

Your background may vary. Perhaps you have experience from a law firm, the financial sector, the auditing industry, or a public authority. You may also be a (newly) trained Professional Bachelor's degree in e.g. Tax, Financial economics or similar. The most important thing is that you thrive in case processing and dialog with citizens and businesses.

We value that you

  • Work in a structured, independent way with a focus on quality and legal certainty
  • Can handle different tasks and make professionally grounded decisions
  • Are solution- and collaboration-oriented and contribute across the organization
  • Can quickly immerse yourself in new knowledge and new IT systems
  • Communicate professionally and empathetically, both in writing and by phone

You will come into contact with citizens and businesses that may be in a difficult financial situation. Therefore you must be able to create a constructive dialogue while being clear and professional in your official capacity.

We prepare you well for the role

You will receive a tailored introduction program with instruction in relevant legislation and practical task-solving. Along the way you will receive professional sparring and concrete tools that make you well equipped for meetings with citizens and businesses, even when conversations are demanding.

To become authorized as a bailiff you complete a further education at diploma level within bailiff law and debt collection jurisprudence as well as property law and civil procedure. It is also a requirement that you, as a bailiff, have a valid driver's license (B). We provide a service car when you carry out bailiff proceedings.

We continuously monitor your professional development through sparring and 1:1 conversations, and give you good opportunities to develop your competencies and become confident in the role.

You will become part of a professionally strong team where we collaborate on common goals, use each other's competencies, and help each other across tasks.
