We are seeking an engaged and professionally grounded curious nutrition professional to our dementia care center. With us you become an important part of everyday life for the residents, where food and meals play a central role for both nutrition, community and joy of life.

As a nutrition professional you will have a varied everyday life with responsibility for planning, production and quality assurance of meals as well as close cooperation with residents, relatives and colleagues across professional disciplines.

🏡 Who are we?

Karolinelund is a dementia care center in the scenic Gjern with 42 apartments , of which 9 are temporary spaces.

Karolinelund is undergoing a renovation this autumn and by the end of the year our new production kitchen will be completed. Here you will, together with another nutrition professional colleague, be responsible for preparing tasty food for all residents. You will as a nutrition professional contribute to rethinking the future kitchen at Karolinelund.

• Planning and preparing varied, nutritionally appropriate and appetite-stimulating menu plans
• Ensuring dietary calculations and adapting meals for our residents, including small-eating residents as well as citizens with special dietary needs, diets and dysphagia diet
• Ordering raw materials and other necessary goods and contributing to budget management
• Preparing 24-hour meals consisting of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks
• Adjusting menus according to season, Danish food traditions and residents' wishes with a focus on generation-appropriate meals. Including producing as much food from scratch as possible
• Guiding colleagues on plating, serving and nutritional considerations
• Participating in interdisciplinary collaboration around nutrition, diet and dietary guidance
• Ensuring compliance with applicable food legislation, self-check and hygiene requirements
• Contributing to the development of good meal experiences for our residents

• Has a relevant nutrition education, e.g. nutrition assistant or equivalent
• Has strong professional competencies within nutrition, cooking and menu planning
• Can work independently while also engaging in close interdisciplinary collaboration
• Is familiar with dietary calculations and use of IT systems
• Can maintain overview in a daily life with many different tasks and interruptions
• Wants to participate in events where relatives are present

🕒 Practical info

• Working hours and number of hours: 37 hours or by agreement. There may be evening, weekend and public holiday work
