Reliever at sea from autumn and onwards – with shifts over Christmas/New Year and good future opportunities!

Autumn, winter and the high season's biggest events and Christmas lunches are just around the corner – and we need extra hands for one of the year's coziest and busiest periods.

We are seeking engaged waiters and bartenders for our luxurious passenger ships NORDIC CROWN and NORDIC PEARL on the route between Copenhagen and Oslo.

We expect that you can work either Christmas or New Year (or preferably both).

How much can you work?

• Approximately 12 days per month: You will on average be able to have around 12 working days per month – with the possibility of even more shifts when there are school holidays.
• Perfect for students: The weekend shifts are arranged so that you either are on board Friday at 11:00 and off Sunday at 11:00 – or on Saturday at 11:00 and off Monday at 11:00. However, there is often the possibility of slightly longer shifts.
• Future opportunities: In April/May there will be an opportunity to be offered a Summer-Flyer (a fixed-term employment over the summer, usually running from late June to late August/early September) – with a view to permanent employment when there are available positions.

Here's how it works

• Send CV + working hours: You send us your CV along with a few words about your working hours and availability.
• We read and invite: We review your papers and invite you to a chat on Teams if we see a possible match.
• Trial voyage aboard: We take you on a trial trip – to see if it suits you and us.
• Welcome to the crew! You will be added to our crew database, and we will contact you when we need you – e.g. for events, holiday periods, Christmas and New Year.

We will of course ensure that you attend the legally required safety course for seafarers, so you are fully ready to go aboard.

• Varied tasks: Work in our restaurants and bars with everything from buffet and à la carte to festive events and New Year celebrations.
• Flexible structure: Quickly build experience and hours aboard with good, consolidated shifts.

We are looking for you who

• Can work during Christmas, New Year, or both.
• Is at least 20 years old (age requirement for dispensing alcohol in Norway).
• Has experience as a waiter or bartender (from buffet, à la carte or events).
• Speaks at least one Scandinavian language and English.
• Is an EU citizen with a valid EU passport
• Is service-minded, professional and can keep a cool head when things are busy.
• Can obtain a health certificate from the maritime doctor and will present your criminal record. Read more about the Health Certificate here
