HN is looking for a Warehouse Manager for two destinations, Fraugde and Hudevad, who can elevate the warehouse organization to the next level. The daily operations are functioning, but the company needs a leader who can create more planned, structured and data-driven warehouse operations.

The position

The position reports to the Head of Logistics & Warehouse Management.

The new Warehouse Manager must be strong in systems, data and management tools and be able to translate them into concrete improvements in flow, productivity, staffing and cost control. The role requires a leader who can both optimize processes and ensure stable, efficient and future-proof operations.

The Warehouse Manager will have full leadership and operational responsibility for the warehouse in Fraugde as well as the buffer warehouse in Hudevad. The role comprises about 40 permanent employees spread across the two locations. The vast majority are employed in Fraugde.

The Fraugde warehouse consists of about 15,000 m² of warehouse facilities plus a further about 4,000 m² tent warehouse. Hudevad houses about 9,000 m² of warehouse and serves as a buffer warehouse for Fraugde. Here container unloading is handled, and several daily transports of goods to Fraugde are operated.

The role requires a leader who can work through middle managers while also being close enough to the operations to understand the challenges and step in when necessary.

The assignment

The Warehouse Manager will have overall responsibility for the operation, leadership and development of the warehouse organization at the two destinations, including:

• Daily leadership of about 40 permanent employees across Fraugde and Hudevad
• Hiring, firing, employee development and ongoing follow-up
• Conducting performance and development reviews, wellbeing conversations and other leadership conversations
• Responsibility for salary budgets, salary approvals and ongoing cost management
• Planning of container deliveries and goods receipt
• Ensuring stable operations, high productivity and good capacity utilization
• Active use of WMS, data and KPIs as management tools
• Carrying out improvement projects and process optimizations
• Ensuring structure, standards and clear workflows in everyday work
• Visible leadership in operations and ability to help when things get tight

The candidate

The ideal candidate has solid experience as Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager or Warehouse Manager in an operation-intensive organization with high volume and clear requirements for productivity and cost control.

In addition, the following is expected

• Experience with Apport WMS or other strong warehouse management systems
• Skills in KPI tracking, Lean, process optimization, staffing planning and warehouse flow
• Understanding of operating economics, salary budgets and the relationship between productivity and costs
• Ability to create structure, direction and buy-in in a practical operations organization

Education

Relevant education in logistics, warehousing, supply chain or similar practical/managerial background

Residence

The candidate is expected to reside at a reasonable distance from the Fraugde warehouse

Language

Danish and English – fluent

IT skills

MS Office package – certainly an advantage with knowledge of Apport WMS
