Wastewater worker wanted for a strong professional team in the Municipality of Køge

Køge Kommune is growing with a focus on urban development, nature and the development of the open countryside. It places great demands on sustainable handling of rainwater and wastewater, as well as consideration for nature and waterways. As one of our colleagues has sought new challenges, we are seeking a new employee to manage rainwater and wastewater tasks.

Your tasks You will become part of the municipality's wastewater team and play a central role in case handling in the rainwater and wastewater area, which is driven, among other things, by an ambitious urban and commercial development in the municipality.

The tasks include among others

• Discharge permits
• Connection permits
• Local planning
• Handling of faulty connections
• Wastewater professional advisory in urban development projects

The tasks are often solved in collaboration with colleagues in other teams in Planning, Building & Environment, which provides a broad cross-disciplinary interface and good insight into the municipality's many tasks. There are many ongoing and upcoming urban development projects and at the same time a focus on optimizing case workflows, e.g. with regard to building case processing.

Who are you? You have a relevant higher education, for example as an engineer, biologist or equivalent, and experience with the wastewater sector.

You may have experience from a municipality, a utility company, a ministry or the consulting industry. Knowledge of legislation in the area, municipal planning and the water cycle is an advantage.

Who are we? You will be part of Nature, Water and Soil in Planning, Building & Environment under the Technical and Environmental Administration. The department works with wastewater and rainwater, rivers, soil and groundwater, water supply, nature and agriculture.

We are 15 staff and one department head, and you will become part of a well-functioning wastewater team with four employees who prioritise high professionalism, knowledge sharing, collaboration and a strong social community.

Salary and terms of employment The position is 37 hours per week with flexitime. Salary is set according to the Ny Løn principles and in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
