We are looking for a cook for our canteen at Zealand, Maglegårdsvej 2, 4000 Roskilde. You will be part of the daily operation of the canteen, where we emphasize good food, quality, service and a canteen that is inviting for both students and staff. You will become part of everyday life at an educational institution with many students and employees. The canteen, Café Zea, is a natural meeting place on the campus, and we want a canteen with good food, attentive service and an inviting environment.

Your tasks will include

• Preparation and plating of cold and hot dishes
• Salads, bread and lighter baked goods
• Menu planning and ordering of goods
• Sales and service in the canteen
• Catering for meetings and events
• Self-check and compliance with hygiene requirements
• Keeping the kitchen and canteen neat and tidy
• Collaboration with colleagues at Zealand

About you

You are professionally proud and passionate about creating good food experiences in a canteen with many guests during the day. You thrive with routines – but are also ready to find solutions when daily life calls for it.

We imagine that you

• Are a trained cook, caterer or have another relevant kitchen-related education
• Have experience from canteen, kitchen or similar
• Work independently and take responsibility for daily operations
• Have focus on quality, variation and presentation
• Are service-minded and enjoy contact with students and staff
• Are flexible and contribute positively to collaboration

We offer a daily life with a lot of autonomy and opportunity to influence the canteen as well as good cooperation with colleagues in Facility Management and at our other locations.

Practical information

The position is 37 hours per week with working hours mainly on weekdays during the day, typically around 7:00-15:00. There may be occasional events outside normal working hours.

Start date: We would like the successful candidate to start on 1 December 2026. Alternatively, start can be agreed for January 2027.

Employment terms: Employment and remuneration depend on your educational background and are in accordance with the organizational agreement for Kostfagligt uddannet personnel - kitchen, entered into between the Ministry of Finance, CO10 and 3F, with the possibility of negotiating supplements.
