20 hours per week – with the possibility of full-time

Do you have pedagogical professionalism in your toolkit, both feet firmly on the ground – and at the same time a desire to be the one who can step in when everyday life calls for an extra adult?

Then it might be you we are looking for!

We are looking for an educator for our special kindergarten in Jelling, who will function as a floater across our groups. You will therefore not be tied to one place – but have the opportunity to bring your competences into play where there is a need for you. In Solen we do not use substitutes, but our floater, so the children meet a familiar adult when there is a need for an adult in the classroom.

And don’t worry: You don’t need to be able to fly for real.

But you must be able to adapt, keep an overview and create security, even when the day’s plan suddenly takes an unexpected turn.

We are a special kindergarten under the Children’s Act, where the children need a special pedagogical effort and an environment that starts from the individual child’s needs, resources and development opportunities.

With us no day is ever the same. Some days go according to plan. Other days… the plan does something completely different. Therefore we work with high professionalism, clear structure, relationships, presence and a strong focus on the individual child.

What will you do?

As a floater you become an important part of everyday life across the building. You shall among other things:

• step into the different child groups when needed
• create safe and developmental relationships with the children
• be able to work in a structured way while being flexible
• collaborate closely with pedagogical staff and other professional groups
• contribute with your observations, ideas and professional perspectives
• help create calm, predictability and good days – even when reality offers a little extra

As a floater you get a position where you come close to the whole building and have the opportunity to experience different pedagogical environments.

The position is initially 20 hours per week, but there is a possibility for full-time if that is what you are seeking. Then the hours would be distributed across our department in Jelling and in Vinding.

The most important thing is not that you can fly, but that you want to be the adult who lands where the children need you.

Employment terms

The position is initially as a floater in our department in Jelling and is 20 hours. If you want 37 hours, that is possible, but you would then have to work both in Jelling and in Vinding.

Information about starting salary

Employment is in accordance with the collective agreement for pedagogues at day care institutions, after-school care programs, clubs etc., §§4-9. The expected starting full-time salary excluding pension is 35,254 DKK / lying in the range 35,254 to 40,200 DKK depending on seniority. It should be noted that final placement, including collective agreement basis and salary level, is determined based on your education and qualifications and the specific offered position.
