We are looking for a pedagogue or pedagogical assistant with a heart in the right place for our small and cozy private daycare. Kindergarten assistant with an interest in pedagogical sports.

Jellerød Børnegård is a small private institution, Kokkedal's smallest, where we cherish that small is good. We have space for 24 toddlers and 32 preschool children, distributed across four rooms with each its own fixed room educator. We are looking for a new pedagogical assistant or assistant to 33 hours/week for one of the kindergarten groups of 14-18 children, where you will become part of a three-person team, with a co-worker and a pedagogue. As an assistant, you will join a fixed team attached to the room.

Every morning, a pedagogue and an assistant from both rooms go out and form a pair, in their own large group with the oldest children to do activities related to school readiness.

We also have a kitchen manager who takes care of all the children's meals as an educational meal.

It is an advantage if you are outgoing and want to gain knowledge of the work with the new strengthened curriculum, dialogic reading, Fri For Mobberi and Movement.

We see ourselves as a house that prioritizes high professional standards and pedagogical surplus so we can meet the individual needs and interests of the children. We function as one unit in the house, learning from and taking each other into account, and we pull together regardless of title. We are proud of our shared professionalism; for example, the entire staff is trained to use the tools from “Fri For Mobberi,” and everyone is trained within Via as a movement-certified institution.

We have two pedagogical days annually when we are closed and work on our professionalism. In addition, there are six staff meetings per year, included in your annual norm, just as the parent meeting and the summer party are.

We always work from our view of children: “Children do well when they can,” which means that children do well when we adults make it possible for them to do just that. It is therefore the adults’ task to notice the child’s intentions and behavior. This is also expressed when we reflect on why we do what we do.
