We are proud of this, but we do not see it as a reason to rest on our laurels. On the contrary, because we know that high professional quality is not something you finish. It is something we must be curious about, work on and take responsibility for every day.

In Degnebakken we believe in

that children do the best they can.

that the adults who are present are crucial for children’s safety, well-being and development.

that strong relationships do not arise by themselves, but require adults who are present and take responsibility.

that when a child stands on the edge of the community, we should look at the framework and the relationships.

And most importantly, it is always the adults’ responsibility to adjust our pedagogy when something difficult happens in the children's community.

That does not mean we always have the right answers. It means we are willing to search for it together.
