About the job
Policies in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality have decided that we shall have a caseload of up to 47 citizen cases per advisor, which means that we need to increase staffing.
Would you like to be part of our team with a focus on shared professional development and collaboration across the adult services area?

What is the task?
As a social work advisor, your core task is to contribute to ensuring that adults over 30 years old with physical, mental, or social challenges receive the right support to live as independent a life as possible.
Your primary task is to assess the need for support within the framework of the Social Services Act and coordinate the efforts together with the individual citizen, their network, and relevant partners. In addition, you will follow up to ensure that the interventions remain relevant, for example at a network meeting. To assess each citizen's functional level and support needs, we use the Adult Assessment Method (VUM 2.0).
You will have great freedom to plan your own work day. Some days you will be at the office in our new premises, other times you will attend meetings with a partner, and there will also be days when you can choose to work from home. If you have interest/experience in particular areas or target groups within the adult sector, specialization may be a possibility.
Who are we?
You will become part of a team of 14 employees who share the same core task but are organized into two teams, which will start from January 1, 2027. Based on preferences, motivation, and competencies, we will in the interview determine which team you will join. We are recruiting for both teams.
Team 1 will handle the following tasks
- The intake (phone and email) and advising conversations
- § 82 cases – and follow the case onward to § 85 if needed.
- § 85 (Psychiatry), § 109, § 110, § 85a (ICM, CTI)
- Housing recommendations
Team 2 will handle the following tasks
- § 85 (Disability and particularly expensive cases)
- §§ 107, 108
- § 100 (not all in the team)
- § 96 (not all in the team)
- § 98
- § 84
- Special education (not all in the team)
In both teams there will be, among other things, §§ 97, 102, 103, 104.
You will have your own fixed caseload and at the same time experience that you have competent and supportive colleagues to consult with – both across desks and at case meetings every Monday. The team leader has previously been a professional coordinator in the department and has many years of experience in the specialized adult sector. The department currently does not have a professional coordinator.
Become part of the Center for Social Effort
Adult Advisory has the authority over citizens over 30 years old. We are part of the Center for Social Effort, where authority and services for children, youth, and adults are combined.
In the adult area, we have two internal social-pedagogical support centers, an acute service, and two internal residential facilities. We work closely with our internal partners and hold, among other things, joint network meetings inspired by Open Dialogue.
We also collaborate extensively with the municipality's health and employment efforts in the “Program Adults” at both leadership and staff levels to strengthen citizens’ experience of a holistic and coherent effort across professional boundaries.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who,
- has a relevant education such as social worker or social facilitator,
- has worked in the authority field within the social area or another welfare area,
- contributes to the professional and social work community,
- thrives with many collaboration interfaces and can work professionally together with citizens, networks, and partners,
- is strong administratively and good at articulating in writing
We offer
- an introduction program and a mentor in the first period – depending on what you need
- work with a varied everyday life and a high degree of freedom with responsibility
- supervision
- flexible working hours and the possibility to work from home
- new bright premises within walking distance of Lyngby station, right by Lyngby Main Street
Employment terms
The positions are 37 hours per week, but we can be flexible on the number of hours. The positions are to be filled from January 1, 2027.
Salary and employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and are negotiated individually based on education and experience.
