We are seeking two knowledge and development consultants for the highly specialized social and special education field for Synscenter Refsnæs

Then you may be one of the two knowledge- and development consultants we are seeking for Synscenter Refsnæs Knowledge and Development Unit (VUE).

We are seeking a knowledge and development consultant for a permanent full-time position as well as a maternity cover, both with start date 1 December 2026.

Your role

As a knowledge and development consultant you will be part of Synscenter Refsnæs, the national specialist pedagogical resource and knowledge center for children and young people with severe visual impairment.

You will be part of VUE, which is organized under the center leadership at Synscenter Refsnæs. VUE consists of four staff members with each their professional areas of responsibility, who collaborate across disciplines when it strengthens task completion.

You will report to a manager from the center leadership.

As part of VUE you contribute to supporting development, knowledge work and cross-cutting initiatives across Synscenter Refsnæs and the whole country. You will have a broad network of collaboration in a nationwide perspective and work closely with many different professional groups. Interdisciplinary collaboration is an important part of our culture.

Your tasks may include

• Collecting, describing and translating new knowledge into practice
• Development and maintenance of professional materials
• Dissemination of knowledge through presentations and talks
• Facilitation of professional networks and development activities
• Advising management and staff on professional matters
• Participation in and lead coordinator of development and project tasks
• Contribution to external collaborations, networks and any foundation- and development projects, including administrative support

We see professional development and relevant education and development opportunities as a natural part of the position.

We picture that you

Have a relevant master's degree or a professional bachelor's degree with relevant further qualification.

In addition, we would like you to have experience from the specialized social- and special education sector or from relevant public authorities and organizations or the disability sector, the Agency for Social Affairs and Housing, region, a knowledge center or another relevant public organization.

Employment terms

Starting salary for union employees

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of the base salary, centrally determined allowances and pension under the relevant collective agreement.
