About the job
Workforce Denmark is seeking for Grønbech Dan Smedien in Bjæverskov a qualified metalworker for a newly created position.
Do you have a solid metalworking background and experience with contractor machines, machine parts, repair and maintenance?

Grønbech Dan Smedien is a traditional, family-owned mechanical machine shop with strong artisanal roots. The company is busy and is developing the business – and therefore this position is newly created.
YOUR BACKGROUND IS IMPORTANT
We are primarily looking for a skilled metalworker, but it is especially your experience with contractor machines and mechanical repairs that is of interest.
You could come from a machine shop, a construction equipment dealer, a service workshop or have worked with repair and maintenance of larger machines.
You don't need to know it all from day one. The most important is that you have solid craftsmanship, practical understanding and a desire to help develop the company.
YOUR TASKS
Your day-to-day will be varied and will take place both in the workshop and with customers on site.
You will, among other things, work with
- Repair and maintenance of construction equipment
- Mechanical repairs and replacement of machine parts
- Welding and metalworking
- Manufacture, adaptation and repair of machine parts and structures
- Bending and working with a press brake
- Troubleshooting and assessment of faults and defects
- Service and special assignments in the workshop and at customers
- Urgent and more complex tasks where a practical and creative solution is required
There will be tasks that can be solved by a known method, and others where you must assess how the best and most durable solution should be made.
WE EXPECT THAT YOU
- Are a trained metalworker or have a corresponding strong practical background
- Have experience with repair and maintenance of machines
- Have experience with construction machinery or construction equipment
- Have good welding skills
- Can work with bending and press braking
- Preferably have experience with stainless steel
- Can work independently and take responsibility for the task
- Have a good practical and mechanical understanding
- Want to contribute with both experience and ideas
- Thrive in a daily routine where tasks are not always the same
- Can communicate naturally with both customers and colleagues
- Speaks Danish and has a driving license
TIC certification and forklift license are an advantage, but not a requirement.
A COMPANY IN DEVELOPMENT
Grønbech Dan Smedien traces its roots back to 1828 and is built on proud craftsmanship traditions.
But the company is not standing still.
Grønbech Dan Smedien is on a growth journey, where investment is being made in developing the business and in the people who will help drive it forward.
Therefore they are not just looking for a couple more hands. They are seeking an employee who can contribute with experience, professionalism and new perspectives.
There is room for both traditional smithing and new ways of solving the tasks.
YOU GET
- A newly created position with the opportunity to help shape the role
- A versatile daily life with workshop work and field service
- A strong professional community and good colleagues
- Freedom with responsibility
- Opportunity for professional development
- Opportunity to contribute your own ideas and influence solutions and workflows
- Working hours are, as a rule, Monday-Thursday 7:00-15:30 and Friday 7:00-12:10
- Overtime and urgent call-out terms to be agreed separately
The work can be physically demanding, so you must be prepared to roll up your sleeves when the task requires it.
