Working welding coordinator/metalworker wanted for ab Aluminium

Do you have solid experience as a metalworker, a solid grasp of welding, and a desire to take on more responsibility?

At ab Aluminium we are looking for a working welding coordinator who wants to be an active part of production and at the same time help ensure quality, structure and development in our welding and sheet metal department. We work 37 hours per week spread over four days, so you have Fridays off.

You may ideally be a trained metalworker, but the most important for us are your practical skills, your professionalism and the willingness to take responsibility. You do not need to already be a trained welding coordinator – if you have the right profile you will receive the training with us.

Your tasks will include

• Active work with welding and metalworking in our welding department
• Work in our sheet metal department and help ensure tasks move well through production
• Coordinate and follow up on welding tasks, including ensuring WPSs and WPQRs
• Ensure quality and contribute to finding good solutions
• Be responsible for training and development of our apprentices
• Be part of the effort to bring new prototypes into production
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and management on daily production

In other words, you will become an important person in production – someone who can lead professionally and make things work in practice. Today we have three trained national welding coordinators, of which the owner is the responsible welding coordinator.

• Are a trained metalworker or have a strong practical background in the metalworking trades
• Have good experience with welding
• Would like to also work with sheet metal processing
• Have an eye for quality and detail and can give colleagues constructive feedback
• Can work independently and take responsibility
• Would like to teach and contribute to developing our apprentices
• Enjoy solving problems and finding practical solutions

You will have your own production tasks, and at the same time the possibility to

• Have a daily life where you work with your hands and have responsibility
• Develop professionally and take relevant courses
• Become part of a flat organization where office and production are one team that works together
• Participate in Thursday Café once a quarter, where we end the week with grilling, socializing and music on the stage in the production hall

ab Aluminium A/S in Thisted produces everything from simple components to complex aluminium special items. We have many competencies gathered under one roof and can process almost any imaginable aluminium product. We are known for our aluminium welding and care about high quality, flexibility and good craftsmanship. In recent years we have worked to attract customers with higher welding requirements and have now reached a point where we need a welding coordinator on the floor.
