About the job

Do you want to help develop citizens towards the labor market?

The Service Team at Jobcenter Favrskov is seeking a workshop assistant for a 1-year temporary position working 37 hours per week, with start as soon as possible or by agreement.

Are you passionate about working with people, and do you also have practical experience from a workshop or craft trades? Do you believe that people develop through meaningful work tasks and a strong sense of workplace belonging? Then it might be you we are looking for.

About the job

The Service Team is part of the Center for Guidance and Clarification (CVA), which is Jobcenter Favrskov’s internal employment-oriented offering.

Our core task is to develop citizens toward the labor market through meaningful work tasks, relationships, and an employment-focused effort.

In the Service Team we work with citizens who need a special guided approach to get closer to the labor market. Our woodwork shop and production workshop provide the framework for the work, where citizens have the opportunity to develop work routines, belief in their own abilities, and future prospects.

You will be part of a team with diverse professional backgrounds, where collaboration, professional sparring, and humor are natural parts of daily life.

Your tasks

You will among other things

  • take responsibility for tasks in the wood workshop in collaboration with the citizens
  • serve as a point of contact for your own citizens
  • conduct initiation and follow-up conversations
  • support the citizens’ development toward the labor market
  • speak with the citizens about their resources, competencies, and possibilities
  • collaborate with caseworkers and other partners
  • prepare status and closing notes

We imagine that you

  • have practical experience, e.g., as a craftsman or from workshop work
  • thrive in working with people
  • meet the citizens with respect, clarity, and belief in their potential
  • can motivate and create development in collaboration with people facing various challenges
  • can work independently while also contributing to the community
  • are flexible and adaptable, as we work with people, and daily life cannot always be planned in advance, so you are comfortable with tasks and priorities changing along the way.
  • have a flair for written documentation

It is an advantage if you have experience from the employment sector or similar, but it is not a requirement.

We offer

  • meaningful work where you make a concrete difference
  • An exciting and varied everyday life
  • engaged colleagues and a high level of professionalism
  • professional sparring, supervision, and development
  • thorough onboarding and training
  • a casual workplace with a focus on collaboration and well-being

Salary and terms of employment

It is a 1-year temporary position at 37 hours per week. The position is intended to be filled from December 1, 2026 or earlier.

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable HK collective agreement.
