About the job
In Piletræet we are looking for a pedagogue for the nursery who will be involved in play and support our focus on children's movement opportunities. Sabine is going on maternity leave and therefore we have a space for you in the Bille room.
Come and experience Piletræet
This could be your everyday life: you walk in the door and one of the first things you meet is a colleague saying good morning, and afterwards the children run towards you with big smiles. The children play outside in the common room where they race on motorcycles, crawl over the foam modules while your colleague rocks a child who needs a calm and gentle start. Then you take the children into the room where the play environments invite immersion and presence.
At one end of the room your colleague supports the children's jumping play that jumps down from the foam modules. At the other end, your colleague and a small group of the youngest children have brought out the singing trunk and they sing while they make signs.
In Piletræet we are in the process of living out and formulating our pedagogical direction with a focus on creating varied movement possibilities for the children through play. We are looking for you as our new colleague in the Bille room, as Sabine goes on maternity leave.
You do not need to have previously focused on movement possibilities as a pedagogical focus to fit in at Piletræet. We simply want you to see opportunities in an active view of children with room for play and bodily expression.
Our structure in the nursery
The nursery department at Piletræet consists of three rooms: Brumbasserne, Sommerfuglene and Billerne (your room). Besides being divided by room, we have a strong focus on working across rooms in the nursery department, and with the kindergarten. We have room days on Monday and Wednesday, year-group days on Tuesday and Thursday and a playground day on Friday. On room days you organize activities for your own room's children, where you work in smaller groups.
On year-group days you represent a year group, where you, together with your colleagues from the other rooms, plan what you will play with the children from your year group in the nursery department. When we have a playground day we collaborate across rooms and we hold room meetings. This means that you in a fixed rotation have a room meeting every three weeks together with your room colleagues.
You also have a year-group meeting every three weeks with your colleagues from the other rooms who also represent your year group.
In Piletræet we value structure and preparation time highly. We believe it provides better conditions for our professional work with the children. Therefore you will of course have one hour of scheduled preparation time as a pedagogue in Piletræet.
The special thing about Piletræet
At Piletræet we work to create varied movement opportunities. It does not mean that we race around all the time, but that we want to create a playful environment where the children gain greater belief in their own abilities. We also place high importance on collegial interaction. We have strong support for our staff events, we play at our staff meetings and there is generally an informal and friendly atmosphere in the institution where you are met with many smiles.
At Piletræet the grass may be walked on and we are always open to new ideas and input. It also happens that we make mistakes, but we always practice learning from them.
Piletræet has initiated a process to become an ICDP-institution as part of a common goal for the entire day care area in Vallensbæk.
In addition, we have started a project focusing on early motor intervention in collaboration with PPR and the health visitors which Piletræet facilitates.
