About the task

You will be a steady support for a happy, curious and sociable 7-year-old boy who has ADHD. He loves humor and companionship and is especially fond of being physically active. Football, cycling, scooter, trampoline and climbing interest him, and at home he also enjoys board games, chess and gaming.

You pick up the boy from the after-school club (SFO) and help create a calm and predictable transition into the afternoon. When you get home, there is an opportunity for a little food and drink and a calm moment before you start an activity.

The boy needs structure and predictability and can have difficulty with shifts and transitions. Therefore it is important that you prepare him well in advance when an activity is to end, or something new should begin. In pressured situations he can react strongly, and here he needs you to stay calm and meet him with respect and understanding.

The task is to create meaningful afternoons based on his interests and daily form. It can be activities at home and outings where you, for example, play football, cycle or go to the playground.

About you

You can be a pedagogue or unskilled with relevant experience. The most important thing is that you have knowledge of ADHD and can create clear and predictable frames around the time you spend together.

You meet the boy with a calm and patient approach and can be clear without pressuring. At the same time you want to actively participate in his interests and build a good relationship through presence and shared activities.

Working hours

In the startup phase the position is 6 hours per week distributed on

Monday 2:00 PM–5:00 PM

Tuesday 2:00 PM–5:00 PM

Both shifts start with pickup from the SFO.

There are 10 hours per week allocated, and in time the family would like to add another weekday in the same time slot.

Outside office hours there is always a staffed duty phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement entered into between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and occupational injury insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
