Mariagerfjord Municipality seeks an engaged and visionary leader for Health and Training as of January 1, 2027.

As the leader of Health and Training you will play a central role in driving both daily operations and strategic development. • wants to and is capable of continuing the good development of Health and Training – with a particular focus on the changes taking place in connection with the Health Reform, an upcoming Public Health Act and demands for digitization

• has a resource-focused approach and can look across boundaries and engage in development work
• has the professional leadership toolbox in order – ideally with solid experience in the field
• can create good professional frameworks for employees who may occasionally face challenging professional situations

• has an eye for both operations, development and the working environment.

• have knowledge of the prevention area – with a particular view on what it takes to lead different professional groups
• are passionate and curious
• are professionally capable with attention to your own and others' competencies
• can address potentially conflict-filled situations – among other things by following up and maintaining the professional direction
• have a strong citizen perspective and recognize the importance of early intervention and prevention
• can accommodate diversity and create a culture where different competencies are brought into play

• have experience with leadership – both people management, strategic leadership and budget control.

Your tasks include, among others

As the leader you will have overall responsibility for the operation, development and personnel management of Health and Training.

In addition you shall

• set the direction for the professional development and quality of the initiative
• lead, develop and motivate employees as well as a professional leader
• have responsibility for budget, planning and documentation
• work on solutions to the fact that there are several places with insufficient physical facilities
• the important interplay with AMR, TR and Local MED
• implement new quality standards under the health reform
• Implement AI-supported journaling and minutes writing – and ensure that employees are equipped for this task
• contribute to Mariagerfjord Municipality meeting the Public Health Act's requirements for uniform prevention – among other things by strengthening the linkage to Frivilligcenter Mariagerfjord and civil society.

Salary and employment conditions

It is a full-time permanent position. Salary will be negotiated in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, with the possibility to negotiate supplements based on your competencies. We hope you can start on January 1, 2027.

We have health centers in both Hadsund and Hobro - and you must also be prepared to participate in meetings throughout Mariagerfjord Municipality, so it is a requirement that you have a valid driver's license.

To be employed by Mariagerfjord Municipality you must have MitID.

Timeline

Application deadline is November 13. We expect to conduct the first interview on November 18 and the second interview on November 26.

Between the first and second interview, tests will be conducted on candidates who proceed to the second interview. If you advance to the second interview, you must be prepared to complete an online personality test as well as participate in test feedback with an external consultant.

• Health reform as of 1/1 2027: new quality standards, cross-municipal collaborations and transfer of patient-targeted prevention authority to the region (operations of the task on behalf of RN).
• Public Health Act (expected 2027): more uniform citizen-focused prevention across municipalities; Mariagerfjord lies low on the national health profile.
• AI for journaling and minutes writing: implementation and competency development of employees.
• KL's digitization requirements: at least one third of initiatives delivered digitally in 2028.
• Older People Act: changes in the organization of preventive home visits.
• Strengthen public health and reduce health inequalities – including recruitment of the younger working-age target group and linkage to voluntary center and civil society.
