About the job
At Svendebjerghave you will have the opportunity to use your nursing expertise, make clinical decisions on an academic and evidence-based basis, and help develop the future citizen-centered health.
Svendebjerghave is under development, and we are seeking nurses for day and evening shifts who want to take professional responsibility, work with complex health care issues, and contribute to the development of our shared clinical practice.
From January 1, 2027, a portion of our beds will become part of Region of Eastern Denmark and the Center for Citizen-Centered Health . We therefore face an exciting period where we will shape the new department together, develop our workflows, and continue the strong professional community that already exists at Svendebjerghave.
A day-to-day life with professionalism and responsibility
At Svendebjerghave in Hvidovre we work with citizens who, for a period, require close health-professional, care-related and rehabilitative support.
We admit citizens with sub-acute, chronic and complex medical problems , and therefore daily life is both professionally interesting, varied and sometimes unpredictable.
As a nurse you will be responsible for independent nursing tasks, clinical assessments and coordination of the citizen’s course. You will also become an important part of a strong mono- and multidisciplinary community.
Clinical leadership and clinical decision-making
For us, clinical leadership is a natural part of nursing. It includes, among other things, creating overview, prioritizing actions, coordinating citizen pathways, and ensuring quality and coherence in care and treatment.
You should be able to observe and assess changes in the citizen’s condition and make clinical decisions based on your professional knowledge, experience and systematic observations.
We also work to strengthen an evidence-based practice , where the best available knowledge is combined with clinical experience and the citizen’s wishes, needs and resources.
You will, among other things, work with
- Clinical observation and assessment of the citizen’s condition.
- Nursing for citizens with complex and varied issues.
- Clinical decision-making and early detection.
- Planning and follow-up of nursing and treatment.
- Medication management.
- Rehabilitation focusing on the citizen’s own resources and goals.
- Coordination of citizen pathways and transitions.
- Collaboration with citizens, relatives and multidisciplinary partners.
- Professional sparring, documentation and development of quality and patient safety.
We work on the basis that the citizen is an active participant in their own process . Therefore, we start from the citizen’s wishes, resources, needs and goals.
We believe that we become better together
We help each other, spar, and share our knowledge. You will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team where we develop our professional practice together.
We place emphasis on a work environment with room for professional curiosity, learning and good collegiality. We also organize communal meals and other social activities across teams.

- Want to work with evidence-based practice.
- Work systematically and independently.
- Thrive in mono- and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Want to develop both your own professionalism and our shared practice.
