About the job

Pedagogue for Holmebækken's intervention group 37 hours per week.

Would you like to work somewhere where a bridge is built between special education and the mainstream day care?

We are seeking as of 1 November 2026 a pedagogue for our intervention group.

Holmebækken's Daycare House is an integrated day care institution with 2 baby groups, 2 preschool groups and an intervention group currently 6 children. The children may have various diagnoses such as autism, ADHD, Down syndrome etc., and other children are not yet assessed.

We are located in the southern part of Herfølge right beside Holmebæk School. In Køge Municipality there is area management, and we are part of area south and Ejby together with 5 other day care institutions.

At Holmebækkens Daycare House our pedagogical practice is based on ICDP and the 8 interaction themes. We work from a fundamental belief that children's development occurs in relationships, and that appreciative interaction is the key to well-being, development, learning and formation. We are in the process of building our profile, which is singing, language and culture.

This is to create lively and creative learning environments where children have the opportunity to express themselves, find their voice and become part of meaningful communities. We are in the process of certifying as a Sangglad institution through Sangens hus.

You will become part of a team of four pedagogues in total. The group is located in the preschool department and has the opportunity to be distributed over two rooms. From here we build a bridge to the mainstream day care both by letting the baby/preschool come to us, but also by us going out to them. Our main task is to ensure safety and well-being for the children, so we create the best conditions for development. We do this with a clear daily structure and different methods viewed from a child’s perspective. We use, among other things, the Karlstad Method, PECS, and Sign to Speak.

At Holmebækkens Daycare House we value high professional standards and development. We need you if you are willing to contribute to a warm and humorous work community in a house where there is focus on well-being and development for both children and adults. We are looking for you who are passionate about creating good development opportunities for all, and who want to include children with cognitive, linguistic, motor, social and emotional challenges – based on a resource‑oriented approach.
