About the job
Educator for Holmebækkens intervention group 37 hours per week.
Would you like to work in a place where there is a bridge between special education and the general day care offering?
We are looking for an educator to our intervention group as of 1 November 2026.
Holmebækkens Børnehus is an integrated daycare institution with 2 toddlers’ groups, 2 kindergarten groups, and an intervention group currently with 6 children. The children may have various diagnoses such as autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, etc., and some are not yet assessed.
We are located in the southern part of Herfølge, right next to Holmebækskolen. In Køge Municipality there is area leadership, and we are part of the south area and Ejby together with 5 other day-care institutions.
At Holmebækkens Børnehus our pedagogical practice is built on ICDP and the 8 interaction themes. We work from a fundamental belief that children's development occurs in relationships, and that acknowledging interaction is the key to well-being, development, learning and formation. We are in the process of building our profile, which is singing, language and culture.
This is to create lively and creative learning environments where children have the opportunity to express themselves, find their voice and become part of meaningful communities. We are in the process of certification as a Singing-Locused institution through the House of Song.
You will become part of a team of a total of 4 educators. The group is based in the kindergarten section and has the possibility to split across two rooms. From here we build a bridge to the general day care offering both by inviting toddlers/kindergarten to come to us, but also by us going out to them. Our main task is to ensure safety and well-being for the children, so we create the best conditions for development. We do this with a clear daily structure and various methods from a child-centered perspective. We use, among others, the Karlstad Method, PECS, and Sign to Speech.
At Holmebækkens Børnehus we value high professional standards and development. We need you if you are prepared for a warm and humorous work community in a house where there is focus on well-being and development for both children and adults. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating good developmental opportunities for all, and who wants to involve children with cognitive, linguistic, motor, social and emotional challenges – based on a resource-oriented approach.
