Youth worker sought for Holbæk Substance Abuse Center

You now have the opportunity to become part of our youth treatment team with employment from January 1, 2027.

You will join a team of four youth therapists, forming a self-managing team, where you have the opportunity for a high degree of self-planning in your work.

The youth treatment offers free counselling, guidance and substance use treatment for young people aged 13 to 30 years with alcohol- and/or substance use/overuse under the Service Act §101 and Health Act §141.

We work with the MOVE and MOVE+ methods. MOVE is a structured treatment program within cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.

The youth treatment is located at Kasernevej 6 in Holbæk town, and constitutes part of Rusmiddelcenter Holbæk. In our centre we help each other, and although we have our separate tasks, we strive for joint task completion when required.

Working hours will be 37 hours per week with a long day either Monday or Thursday from 8-18. We are closed on weekends and holidays.

The work in the Youth Treatment consists of individual conversations, administrative tasks and interdisciplinary collaboration both internally and externally depending on the young person’s situation.

We place emphasis on participating in projects and development initiatives that benefit our work with our young people. We prioritise professional sparring and collegial equality.

We receive ongoing supervision and there is opportunity for continuing education, courses and the like.

We expect that

• You have a social or health professional basic education, preferably with further training in systemic or cognitive therapy, MI or similar therapeutic directions
• You have experience with therapeutic work and preferably with vulnerable groups
• You see written documentation as a natural part of the work and are interested in staying professionally oriented within our field
• You are clear about your own boundaries and can accommodate vulnerable youths from a curious and trust-building approach

Other information

The position is covered by local pay and arranged with your union representing organization based on your professional background and qualifications. The application deadline is November 11, 2026.

A driving license is required. A child and criminal record check will be obtained.
