At Ådalscenteret you won't meet residents with fixed templates or "caregiver" stereotypes. Dementia diseases require professional curiosity, strong relationships and the courage to think in alternative solutions when the familiar methods don't suffice. We always look beyond the symptoms to understand the person in front of us.

Our professional compass is the person-centered care and the Flower. We work consciously with the whole person and the resident's fundamental needs for identity, companionship, comfort, engagement and love. With five smaller departments each with only 10 residents, the framework is created so you can build secure relationships, let professionalism bloom and create creative solutions in daily life.

If this approach sparks your interest, you are exactly who we are looking for. We are seeking an engaged social and health care assistant for a permanent position from January 1, 2027 in mixed shifts, but primarily evening shifts.

What you will meet with us

With us your health care education and your nursing approach come into play every day. You will become part of a workplace where you find:

• Time and calm for the relationship: Our 50 dementia- and special housing units are divided into 5 smaller departments with 10 residents in each. It provides an overview and the best conditions for continuity and presence.
• Room for alternative solutions: When everyday life is tricky, we consult cross-disciplinary and find the paths that work for the individual resident – even when the solution lies outside the usual recipe.
• Scenic and lively surroundings: We are located in the beautiful nature by Støvring Ådale, which we incorporate in daily life. The house also houses its own day center and a close collaboration with engaged relatives and volunteers.
• An academic community with room to grow: You get colleagues who pull together, where there is room for professional reflection, humor and support – also when everyday life is busy.

What you bring as SSA

You are trained social and health care assistant and thrive in the cross-field between complex dementia care, health tasks and relational work:

• Professional curiosity: You are interested in dementia diseases and eager to explore new or alternative ways to create security and well-being.
• Strong relational skills: You meet residents and relatives with calm, empathy and recognition, and you create contact – even when communication is difficult.
• Holistic view and professional responsibility: You take initiative, ensure good documentation and actively contribute with your professionalism in cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Attention to quality of life: You see the value in everyday "spark moments" – whether it's the good professional conversation, a walk in the valley, or the present moment in care.

Flexibility and framework for the position

A good work life requires balance. We as a rule offer a position of 37 hours per week (or with hours adjusted to your wishes).

• Shift composition: As a rule there are mixed shifts (day/evening) with weekend shift every 2nd weekend.
• Your preferences count: If you prefer evening or day shifts, we arrange the schedule as far as possible according to your needs.
