About the job

Blue Cross Hostel Herning is seeking an activities assistant and housing support (ICM/CTI) for a newly created position, where you will both provide housing support and help create activities in our discharge process. We are looking for someone who is independent, full of good ideas and passionate about making a difference for people in vulnerable positions.

As an employee at Blue Cross Hostel Herning you will have a varied day, where you both provide housing support under the Social Services Act § 85a and participate in our discharge. You will have great autonomy in the work and must be able to plan your own days. Some mornings per week you will help plan and carry out activities together with the residents and the rest of the staff.

In the activities you will have the opportunity to bring your own interests and competencies into play. Perhaps you have a flair for crafts, are creative, enjoy outdoor activities or have something else you can contribute.

We would like you to have experience of working with homeless people and be trained in Housing First housing support methods. For example you could be trained as a pedagog, social worker or deacon. If you have another relevant background and can see yourself in the position, we would also like to hear from you.

Your primary tasks

  • Provide housing support under § 85a.
  • Join our discharge department some times per week.
  • Plan and carry out activities in the discharge together with the other staff.
  • Attend follow-up meetings with the municipality in connection with housing support.

About Blue Cross Hostel Herning

We work recovery-oriented with a focus on the residents’ independence. Therefore we use approaches and methods such as motivational interviewing, ADL training and ”the common third”.

Since the position is newly created, you will have the opportunity to contribute your ideas and help shape it.
