About the job
Can you see yourself in a workday where we primarily perform citizen-facing case handling, supporting administrative tasks for the entire unit, and are you even skilled in IT and data-supported work processes? Then you may very well be our new colleague in the Family Law House's unit for family formation.
We are a smaller unit of the Family Law House, which makes decisions within adoption and parenthood and has an obligation to provide guidance to Danish authorities regarding the recognition of certain foreign documents.
Vibeke and Solveig, who are employees in Family Formation, are looking for a colleague who, together with them, will develop the work within the field of parenthood.
We make decisions together in up to 10,000 parenthood cases per year, and that means we are sometimes quite busy. One must therefore be prepared to work toward a common goal and for everyone to take their share of the workload. At the same time, we are a team that acts as the hub for the citizen’s entry to the unit, and we carry out a fair amount of journaling work for the rest of the department. Thus, we also work closely with both lawyers and social workers.
There is always an opportunity in the unit to expand one’s knowledge and competencies, so if you want a few more professional challenges, we try to incorporate them into daily life.
Employee Vibeke says: “It is very satisfying to know that one’s work has a great impact on the citizens. That we can do it quickly and easily means that the small new family can move forward with, for example, planning a baptism or arranging a passport for the little one.”
Since our citizens highly value swift and correct case handling so they can get formal papers in order for their new family, we take time to consider and implement changes in our case processes.
We are therefore quite closely linked to our IT and Analysis department in the sense that we continuously try to streamline our workflows for the benefit of our citizens and to ensure valid data foundations.
We draw on our professional knowledge and desire for new thinking so that our case processes run optimally.
We collaborate extensively with, among others, the parish offices, the family courts, and with forensic genetic sampling sites around the country.
We also hold physical or online meetings with some of our citizens in a few of our case types. You must be able to thrive with that as well.
Employee Solveig says: “We are a small team, but we do not feel alone because the unit consists of colleagues who simply have different tasks. We also work a lot across the organization, so if we can help somewhere else, we gladly do so. Despite being such a small unit, we have a good balance between work and leisure and also the possibility of agreed home-working days.”
