About the job

Do you want practical experience with web, SEO and digital communication? Then you are the person we are looking for as a student assistant for Ældre Sagen's website.

Ældre Sagen's website is an important hub for our member communications, and the site has on average almost half a million users every month. As a web student assistant you will help ensure that members always find relevant, updated and timely information, tailored to their needs.

What you will gain experience with

You will work closely with our digital editors for the website, other staff in the Communications Department and professional consultants in Ældre Sagen's secretariat.

As a web student assistant, your tasks will mainly be

  • Updating content on Ældre Sagen's website
  • Optimizing SEO/GEO (search engine optimization) in relation to Google and other search engines
  • Fixing dead links and keeping our website up to date by for example deleting consultation responses, news and analyses older than 2 years
  • Working with data and analyses of traffic on the website

Who are you?

We expect you to be enrolled in a higher education program with focus on web and communication, and that you have at least 1-1.5 years left of your studies. You are motivated by ensuring that information is correct, up-to-date and easy for users to find. Experience with websites, search engine optimization or digital publishing systems (CMS) is an advantage, but not a requirement.

You work systematically and meet deadlines. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks and see them through. At the same time you are curious about new tools and working methods, including the use of AI in content work and quality assurance.

It is important that you want to work with maintenance, optimization and development of content on a large website. The position is not directly about marketing, campaigns or social media, but more about dissemination and ensuring high quality, relevance and usability on Ældre Sagen's website.

Who are we?

You will become part of the Communications Department at Ældre Sagen, where we have a high ceiling, meet each other with humor and curiosity, and where we value teamwork, sparring and collaboration.

You will have skilled colleagues with many different professional disciplines and areas of work, who deliver products and results in collaboration. We are engaged in our work and proud of the cause we fight for.

Terms

The weekly working time is 15 hours, but with mutual flexibility expected during peak periods and exam periods.

The position is a student position with start date 4 January 2027. You will report to the deputy head of the Communications Department and become part of a department with about 26 colleagues.

The workplace is Ældre Sagen's head office on Snorresgade in Islands Brygge, Copenhagen.
