Aflastning Bøgelund at Skrillingeskolen is seeking 1 educator

The target group for the respite care is children and young people living at home with physical/mental disabilities, who reside in Middelfart Municipality. The majority of the children and youths using the respite offer are students at Skrillingeskolen.

The children/young people may have several disabilities. It may be autism spectrum disorders (ASD), ADHD or similar disorders, as well as multiple disabilities. In the respite we use KRAP as a tool and method in relation to pedagogical practice.

We currently have 11 children registered in the respite, aged 6 – 18 years, and there are 4 children at a time on weekdays and 6 children on weekends.

We expect that you would like to help make a difference for the children/young people and your colleagues. We assume that you have experience within the special needs field and preferably knowledge of autism. It will be important for us that you work affirmatively and have an eye for the child's resources. You must be relationally competent adults. In the respite we value that the child/young person experiences having their second home.

We appreciate colleagues who have drive and can motivate children and colleagues. You must be skilled at collaborating so that we together continue the common direction and the professional unity in a well-functioning staff group.

Your qualifications

• That you are professionally skilled so that the children/young people are supported in their development
• That you can create clear and structured frames and a predictable environment
• That you keep overview and the ability to act in pressured situations
• That you emphasize collaboration with colleagues, parents and external partners
• That you are flexible and stable
• That you have a positive view of people
• That you as a matter of course take care of practical tasks, help with personal hygiene and ordinary ADL training
• That you thrive with evening/night work as well as weekend work
• That you have a driving licence

The working hours are with a 30 hours/week appointment spread over a 16-week cycle, and alternating between morning, evening and night shifts, mainly arranged as 24-hour shifts. The shifts are arranged as 24-hour and 12-hour shifts every 2 weekends in odd weeks. It is important for us that you know and thrive with working days and weekends. In return the positions offer many days off.

The opening hours in respite are

Even weeks

Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30 PM to next day 8:30 AM

Odd weeks

Monday and Tuesday from 3:30 PM to next day 8:30 AM

Friday 3:30 PM to Monday 8:30 AM and then staff meeting 8:30 to 11:30.

Wages and employment terms in accordance with applicable collective agreements.
