About the job
Are you passionate about guiding, motivating and creating good processes for unemployed citizens? And are you ambitious and ready to try new paths to get citizens into work or education?
Over the past 5 years we have shown that an early and hands-on effort works – especially when the effort takes place in companies. We believe in our citizens, and we believe in the value of frequent and close contact with the companies. We continuously develop our efforts and offerings and test new approaches in relation to developments on the labor market – and we need you to continue and support the good results.
About the job
This is an attractive job where you have time, space and resources to test different methods to support citizens, who have often received long-term public support, into work. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of the team’s methods. You will be part of a close collaboration with your nearest colleague, who primarily works with assessment and the early intervention during the first 3 months of the unemployed citizen.
In daily life it will be you who works with job-ready citizens, with a duration of more than 3 months. Both you and your colleague in the team work flexibly on the task, so the fluctuations in case loads and duration we may experience are handled by both of you in strong cooperation.
As a caseworker you will have the authority for about 45 citizens. The primary target group for you is job-ready cash benefit recipients over 30 years old, who often have a longer period of unemployment behind them and therefore require a special effort. Citizens must be met with a job-oriented and motivating approach and with a belief that the individual will succeed in achieving the goals that are set.
Your main tasks will be
- Relationship work with frequent conversations and follow-up on what has been agreed with the individual citizen
- Focus on jobs and job search
- Act as the ongoing caseworker up to self-sufficiency, including preparing “My Plan”, initiating education- and job-creating activities, following up on progression etc.
- Meet the unemployed citizen with a holistic approach, where you handle all tasks within the employment area – with the exception of benefits
- You must, as needed, be able to conduct assessment conversations with newly unemployed cash benefit recipients and meet them in the early intervention
- Accessibility is a key word and you must be available so that citizens, companies and partners have easy access to contact during working hours
Who are you
You are first and foremost a pleasure to work with. You are good at grasping new knowledge, and you can translate it into an effort that works for the individual citizen. You have a well-developed understanding of the citizens and the situation they find themselves in. You therefore understand how you can both set demands and support them to the necessary extent on the path to work or education. You are a team player and a passionate person, and you have the desire to challenge conventional thinking and the way in which the authority role is exercised.
You are also goal-oriented and good at structuring your work so that good ideas are put into practice, and you are strong in producing written documentation.
It is important that you can see opportunities and believe in the unemployed person’s path back to employment. You are good at motivating others and helping them see potential in themselves. You are good at taking responsibility for task solving and want to spend most of your time with the citizens – we do not believe that we can achieve results behind a desk.
We are looking for you who are positive in your meetings with citizens, colleagues and partners. It is important that you are responsible, dare to make independent decisions in task solving and have an appreciative and resource-focused approach.
You have a social work education / experience with the target group from working in a job center, and perhaps experience with corporate initiatives.
Department
The position is located in the Department of Jobs, Integration and Intervention, which handles the contact process for both job-ready and cash-benefit recipients, unemployed citizens on A-days, integration citizens and citizens on LY/Flex.
You will become part of a dynamic department with about 20 staff, where development, engagement and professional quality are at the core. We work on the principle “Reality works” – because ordinary work and meaningful communities lift the citizen closer to work. Likewise we believe that “The employee works” – that the relationship with a contact person who believes in the citizen’s job opportunities makes a crucial difference.
We offer
- Good opportunities to develop and shape the area
- One department focused on development, professional sparring and method development
- Good colleagues who complement each other in both personalities and expertise, who support each other in daily life
- A good working environment where well-being and humor are an important part of daily life
- Coffee, tea and fruit scheme
- Flexible hours
- Flexible Friday
Appointments will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Children’s and/or criminal record checks may be obtained in connection with the employment.
It is part of Ringsted Municipality’s recruitment policy to promote gender equality and ethnic equality. We encourage both people with Danish and other ethnic backgrounds to apply for the advertised position.
We look forward to receiving your application.
